A friend told me about this unit, I've been having tingling, numbing in mid right back, got this, used it already about 6 times, on the 3.5 setting... I don't miss at least 2 times a day, feeling much better. A GAME CHANGER! Definitely recommend.

This is a great product. The battery life is awesome. I have owned this for over a year and have not changed a battery since. The electrodes have been sticky for so long. If they lose their stickiness just wet them and their like brand new. Perfect machine to help out with moderate pain and uncomfortability. The price for the value is so great.

This is my second TENS unit and the first with claimed additional modes. It's too early to claim full experimentation with it, but so far, I'm very impressed.First, it's at most one third the size and weight of my other unit.Second, the controls make it somewhat easier to get to the desired setting. The ones I preferred on the first unit were the last and required many presses to reach slowly go through each one to reach my favorites. With three modes, this unit breaks up the settings by mode, so it's easier to try different ones.Three, perhaps most helpful is the memory which brings up your last used mode the next time. Awesome!Fourth, I haven't tried both channels together, but I believe they can be set to different functions. If so, that could be useful. Not possible with the old unit.I can't speak to charging time yet, or battery life. I assume the battery has less capacity than my larger unit, but that should not be a problem. I didn't charge it very often anyhow.I'll try to update as I gain more experience with this unit, but these initial impressions warrant 5 stars.

Item arrived early and could be used straight away as there was enough charge. A lot of different size pads for different parts of your body which is very useful. Pads are extremely sticky so care is needed when handing them so they don’t stick to your fingers. It’s easier to attach leads before you put the pads on your body. Plugging in is easy and setting to the program you require easy, then the timer and finally the intensity. The TENS program works wonders on aches and injuries, the EMS program is good but I haven’t used it much. The massage program relieves after exercise or using the TENS. I would highly recommend as we all need one of these at some point of our life’s and the price is good value for money. It’s small enough to carry around in you’re pocket and stays charged for at least 6 uses.

This tens unit is a great set to have for muscle spasms and pain relief. It comes in its own nice case with several sizes of pads to use. I love mine and it's great value and quality!

I purchased this TENS unit in August because a friend recommended it. It worked fine the first two weeks and then started having intermittent issues. Finally plugging into one of the ports one day found that it no longer fit right and kept falling out.I bought another one, hoping it would be better. I know, what was I thinking??I was going to chalk it up to experience on the first one. But my friend encouraged me to return it since it was obviously defective. By this time I'd had it over 30 days (just barely) and they wouldn't let me return it. They told me I could send them a video of the problem and they would credit me. Well, I'm not going to attach the pads to my back and try to video it, as well as all of the other steps involved in setting it up. I guess they thought I didn't know how to use. But I did. I did do a short video of the unit which showed it wasn't working properly, but the system wouldn't accept the format of my video! So I ended up returning the second one which I never opened and got a full credit for that one. I'm still out the money for the first one that is junk. And that's the end of that.

While this does, knead or massage whatever area you attach the patches to, even with the unit on the highest setting, a 10, the intensity of the delivered massage/kneading motion is pretty weak

This is going to be an honest review based on usage.I suffer from bouts of arthritic pain. I've known about TENS devices for some time now. My aunt how suffers from lupus was given a TENS device through her medical insurance to help with bouts of pain. Her device was worth almost $700+. That was in the 2000. After having a small incident where I stepped off a curb the wrong way and strained my hip area. I have been in pain for weeks as I slowly recover. I have used massagers and pain relief creams. The only thing I didn't use was a cold compress or my tuning fork. So I decided to look into finding an affordable TENS machine. I read some of the comments and decided give this device a try.The first thing I would say about this device is that it's a simple device. A backup if you need something quick. It's cheap and battery powered. But it still packs enough of a punch in such a small device.Device:The size could have been reworked. Compared to other devices I looked over the only complaint was the fact that the device is not portable enough. It's about the size of a tv remote. Not small enough to put in a pants pocket, but will fit inside a bag.Controls:There are 5 modes for the body, the 6th mode is a "repeat" button. Which I have no idea how this works. And the manual doesn't really tell you. I can only guess that if you already have the device activated and there's a pulse within a mode you're using then you'd push the button to "repeat" it. Provided it's not doing that already. Meaning whatever mode you're using, if you're familiar with the patterns of the pulses then you already know what comes next. Pushing "repeat" tells me nothing of what's happening if it isn't doing that anyway. There are 3 buttons for the type of pulse modes you want, "massage", "beat" and "knead". Then there are two 2 buttons for "speed levels". At first I didn't know if it worked when pressed, but after really paying attention I realized they do. Speed the pulse up or slow it down.On the sides are the dials which control both the on and off as well as the "power intensity". Left side dial controls the left channel port and the right side controls the right channel port. The channel ports are located on the top and they can be controlled separately. Just attach the electrode wire(s) into whichever channel port you want to use and you're ready to go. Power intensity for their respective goes from 1 the lowest to 10 the highest. My only gripe with the display design is around the power dials. On the left side the design showing low to high is in one direction and the right side is high to low. So to turn the device off, you have to go up on one side and down on the other. Which is basically silly when I look at this. It's easier to scroll down to turn something off than it is having to flick it up to turn it off. They would have been better either flipping the "crescent" icon on the right side so that that either both sides showing the maximum power is either up or down. Position the highest intensity or the lowest intensity to off down or up.The only thing I can think of as to why they might have done it this way, might be how some people handle things based on whether they're right or left handed. But I can't think that might be it. I had so much trouble trying to turn the dial when I had both sides charged up. It was annoying having to push one side down to turn it off and the other side I have to push the dial up to turn it off. This is why I thought it better that both sides go in the same direction. All they would have to do is flip the icon on the right side and then position the icons where off is up or down. The other issue is that this device for some reason doesn't reset. You have turn it off and on to start the procedure all over again. The short timer was another complaint I read for those that wanted a longer treatment. The device only does 15min segments. I agree. However it's not the end of the world. After all this is a simple device that is cheap. Given those shortcomings the device could have been programmed in a way without having to turn it off then on again to do another session.Pads:These pads will have to be replaced. They possess a sticky substance similar to the material you find on those toys you toss at the wall. The electrode pads will stick to your skin with no problem. Be careful not to accidently bend them. Anyone that has had to deal with messing up a band-aid knows what I'm talking about. You can fix it but any crease can affect the stickiness. Keep away from fabrics, dust or oils as this will affect it's adhesion. You can reuse these pads if you're careful. Just be sure to place them back on a smooth clean surface. This will help preserve them for awhile until you need them again or until you have to replace them. I reapply them to the plastic they came on and place them back in the box. When I carry them to work I take the electrodes on the plastic and place the whole thing in a Ziploc bag. Protecting them from any dust particles. You can probably use some alcohol to clean or soap to clean them. Just make sure to dry using something lint free. Or air dry.So what do we have? A pretty decent device.Pros:Simple.Somewhat easy to use.Portable depending. Modes.Affordable.Cons:Display.Power/Power intensity somewhat confusing. Better way to reset device without having to turn device off to start over.Too big to fit in pocket. Not portable to some.

My family has been experiencing muscle pains due to work/health problems, so I bought this in hopes of reducing those pains. I decided to use myself as the initial tester for this product.SETUP: The manual that comes with it is straightforward and helpful, which made the initial setup really easy and fast. I like how they included the 4 AAA batteries that was necessary for the remote to work too. The remote has options for each problem area that you can place the electrode pads on. I get stiff shoulders from work, so I stuck them there first. The pads are definitely sticky enough and even though they are reusable, I think for long-term use I would buy more replacement pads. And even though I had to get help to stick them on my shoulders (and probably will have to get help for my back too), it was a minor convenience that I can overlook since I know I'm not flexible anyways. Ha.DURING: I turned the dial to 1 and felt a slight tingle in my shoulders, then I gradually went higher in the intensity to test each level out. When I used this, I could only take the electric pulses up to 6 without feeling slight discomfort (fair warning: 10 was actually really intense, but this shows that this product delivers on their effectiveness). They have the option for Massage, Beat, or Knead. I preferred using Beat and Massage since it felt like gentle pulses were relaxing my shoulders. I also liked how I could adjust the speed as well, but I felt that the default speed was already well adjusted for me. At first, I felt my muscles tense up more and feel like jelly during/after using this (not exactly a nice feeling). But I think this is normal because after all, we are quite literally "shocking" ourselves.CONCLUSION: I really like this product and I (literally) feel that it works. My shoulders get a lot of abuse since I spend a lot of time doing heavy lifting at work and stay on my computer for long periods of time at home. Once I used this product for the recommended 15 minutes on my shoulders, I felt them completely loosen up which also allowed me to straighten up my back. I'd like to imagine that this is going to help almost anyone with a variety of muscle pains. Easy to use, effective and the price isn't bad either, so I'm pretty happy. :)
