The WH0295 Air Quality Monitor was very simple to setup, pretty much Plug-and-Play. Just add the (2) AA Alkaline or Lithium batteries to the WH45 sensor, and (1) AA Alkaline or Lithium battery to the WH0295 display and you are good to go. The sensor was discovered right away on my Ecowitt HP2561BU console and worked perfectly.

We like seeing the air quailty in the morning on our phone App to show us the air quality, very important as we live in a forest fire prone region of Canada. Part of our Ecowitt HP2553 system.

I picked this up to add to my Ecowitt system and it's been working very well.I compare the WH45 with other monitoring sensors and it's very accurateIt was very easy to add to my existing system and has been trouble free since I installed it.My next goal is to integrate it with my smart home system so I can have it run specific routines based on CO2 levels, etc.I've tried cheaper devices in the past and the old saying, you get what you pay for, always came in to play. I paid a little more for the WH45 but it's accurate so I don't mind.

Integrated this into my smart home to control a whole house fan based on CO2 levels and an air filtration system based on particulate count. It has been working great so far and makes the house much more comfortable!

The AA batteries only last a few days so you must use a USB power supply to power the unit. It does come with the USB cable, but not the power supply. The CO2 and particle readings show up on my Ecowitt display, but the text is quite small and not easy to read with my old eyes. You can also set up an iOS app or android app to see the readings which are recorded on the Ecowitt web page. It looks solidly built. Price is on the high side compared to other options available. Very well integrated with the Ecowitt weather station console (HP2552BU). It picked up the wireless signal from this unit right away with no user input required. Very useful for monitoring CO2 and particle levels in the home.

The sensor seems to work very well but it has one big problem. Some of them have very noisy fans that you can hear cycle on and off even over a large television and sound system in the same room. I returned the first one and the second one has been quiet enough to not be perceptible unless I hold my head next to it.

I really like how easily it is integrated into the ecowitt eco-system of devices and apps both for the web and android. This sensor is just one in a multitude of monitoring devices hooked up to the network through this system. You can set alerts which are fully customizable. So far so good with the weather station outdoors for years now and going strong.

Just brought an Ecowitt compatible weather station from Germany and saw this sensor at a good price. Figured it would give more interesting data than the lightening one that I was interested in.Popped in some batteries and the HP2550 console found it almost instantly. It sat inside for a couple of hours reading zero particles (good air quality) so I lit a candle in the same room. Sensor works! And candles are really, really, really bad for your air quality it seems. Air quality improved slowly over the next few hours and only really peaked cooking Christmas dinner.Thought it might be malfunctioning, but it seems candles, roast dinners and fried breakfasts cause the most air pollution inside according to a well know search engine. It's now outside and telling me that my seaside air is good except for New Year's Eve when the Air Quality changed to moderate after the firework display about 1 mile away.My only grip is that you can't set an alarm on the console to alert you like you can for other sensors. Hopefully a firmware upgrade will fix this. It does however upload the data to the Ecowitt website so you can track it over a period of time which really is how it should be used.

Arrived rather ragged looking. Box and usb cord damaged. At the price this is selling for I would expect everything in great shape. Think Amazon and/or Ecowitt should replace the damaged usb cord.UPDATE: Thank you Ecowitt for making this right. Outstanding customer service!

Quality control seems a bit lacking. Trying for 2 days, with the help of tech support to no avail, I decided to take the unit apart and I found what is presumably the antenna harness disconnected. After reconnecting the harness, the unit registered after the 2nd transmission.2 day wasted, and support was of little help.
