My flooring-installation mentor said not to skimp on the cutter. I'm so glad I didn't. This thing can even shave off a bit (on a re-cut) so small that it actually curls. It's accurate, so easy to use, lightweight for its size, includes a convenient handle, can stand up, the chopping arms locks in the down position to close the blade for safety, and even has a sharpening stone. There were more expensive ones out there (and cheaper ones, too), but I went with a trusted name in flooring tools and was not disappointed. This thing was the best decision I made in all of my flooring tools. What a difference in cutting, especially since I installed the stone core (SPC) type of LVP. My jigsaw blades were toast after ripping only a few long boards (I used metal blades and quickly upgraded to those with a higher speed; otherwise, it just meandered slowly through the plank). All cuts of the short end were done on this little rockstar, and what a night-and-day difference. Worth every penny I paid, and I laid the floor myself to save money and still am glad I plunked down the money for this one. 10 stars if I could.

I received this item with holes in the box and with the top of the box showing a retake job from a time prior. I still took the chance and opened it hoping for the best. There was no best involved. It looked like it had been used before. So within 15 min from the time it landed at my front door it was at the UPS store being returned. Ended up buying the same one at another online store that was cheaper and came boxed great. It does work good and it pretty much performs just as other reviewers have described. Just be careful when sharpening the knife with the included sharpening stone. Just make sure you remove the knife prior to sharpening. Take your time it takes maybe 5 minutes. Good luck in your project.

This Bullet Sharp Shooter is the bomb for vinyl plank laminate flooring. It shears with low effort and so clean you and make a butt joint in the middle of a plank in a difficult install situation and it is almost impossible to see or find once it is put down. This was a great putchase. I was doing my first 100sq’ ft. DIY project and it turned out it was a necessity i had thought was maybe a luxory. This is the ine to buy. I have no experience with others but and very happy with the choice i made.

I have owned many different tools thru the years. Some did as promised and some were junk. This flooring cutter performs better than advertised. I used it to cut flooring that has a limestone substrate layer and I wasn’t sure if this cutter would be able to do the job. IT DOES THE JOB! Thank you Bullet!

I researched about 8 different cutters and landed on this one. Not disappointed. I am installing vinyl plank thru the entire house. It’s 5mm all vinyl material. This cutter goes right thru the material with perfect cuts. No splintering even on thin cuts. Does have an angle guide as well. Also comes with a blade honing stone. Have not had to use it. Blade is still sharp after doing about 1000 sq ft. I can only attest to the material I’m cutting. 5mm is pretty thin so cutting anything thicker (it should) may make a difference. I saw some people had issues with laminate and unclean cuts, but via pictures it appears they were cutting about 10-12mm. Also no issues with any of the hardware as I had seen with some folks. It’s very sturdy yet light. Can pickup with one hand. I can recommend this tool. I believe this cutter exceeds my expectations at this price point. Higher end cutters are $400-600 but are meant for pro installers doing this day to day all year.

I used this to install about 2600 sq. ft. of LVP flooring, and I couldn't have imagined doing it without. I sharpened the blade once during the job with the provided sharpening stone (only because I wanted to... I don't think it really even needed it). Made in USA, so felt it was worth paying a few bucks extra. I also attribute this fact to the superb quality of the tool. It's very solid and extremely easy to use. Had no problem shaving that extra 1/16" off of a cut board to get a better fit.
