This is super solid and all metal, the little screen looks really cool and it's everything I hoped it would be. The only thing it's missing is a way to keep the cables packed with it so I'm looking for a nice rubber case to protect it and attach a cable to.

So, the product is ok but I don't think there's a way to change this to English. I've been researching online and other platform to get an answer, it's very... VERY... frustrating. FANXIANG ANSWER MY EMAIL. Or atleast show in detail that how to FIX this issue I'm having, or maybe anyone here knows how. And no, the fanxiang app does not change the language on the unit. It's useless. Again unless anyone here can answer my question. I don't have the original box, I really want to RETURN THIS. grrrrrr!*** UPDATE. 4 March 2025 ***Fanxiang reached out and provided the answer i needed. Those touch button IS the button to change settings to include securing the drive.

I had a few NVMEs lying around so I figured I'd turn them into a USB drive. This is a little chunky but it fits well in a bag. Great to use if you need to use different NVMEs without needing to load them into a tray or drive bay. The little screen is cool too.

the first short press seems to be ignored, so i have to press 1 time more than the amazon item instructions say. i.e. 7 times for the final function, 2 times for the first. (fanxiang usb 3.2 gen 2 with the color display in the middle)

Starting off I wasn't sure if this should be a 4 or a 5 star. The reason being while it's overall great I find the one little button for the interface to be kind of clunky to use. It just doesn't feel as elegant as the rest of the design gives off. Given it's not a really impactful thing take this as more of a 4.5 star being critical. That being said I rated it highly because it's just snazzy and it works well. The form factor handles all the normal chips I use for storage, the case has good heat dissipation, and the speeds are coming off quick. Connecting it either through my dock or directly into my MacMini's Thunderbolt port its fast. The display screen while not an important feature it's the reason why I'd be buying this one. If I didn't care to be able to check this data on the fly I'd save the money and get a simpler holder. As it stands I like data and I like how this one works.

I've always used the 2.5" or 3.5" drive formats, and was hesitant to move to this format. The case with the great display on status enticed me, and I bought an SSD to go with it. I was nervous about it - wondering what to expect. However, all went VERY well and I am quite pleased and impressed.Photo 1 shows the contents. Photo 2 shows everything out of the wrappings - both a USB A to USB connector and a USB C to USB C connector (nice touch). The manual was decent and multilingual. The bag contained a small screw and nut, although I did not need either. The stick on feet and the carry handle were also things that were not important to me, but nice to have.To test this out, I went all out and got the largest size SSD that it could handle. The SSD (sold separately) is in photo 3. I did install it. The installation was relatively straightforward and easy, although I kept trying to get the tiny screw into the socket to secure the drive to the case base and kept dropping the screws. Turned out there was a black screw already in place. Removed that, installed the SSD, and put the screw back in place. Done. The case itself also opens and closes with a small screw. It's easy to drop the screws, so don't do it over shag carpeting; however, so long as you can find the screws, the installation is easy and even the screwdriver was included. Photo 4 shows the case opened awaiting the installation of the SSD.Photo 5 shows the actual display after powering it up with the drive installed. Love that it tells me the drive capacity, temperature, operating voltage, current draw, and the data throughput (although I think that's locked on 10GBps as the value has never changed). I did test the speed using a MacBookPro with i9 processor. Even with the computers transferring lots of data to other drives (including this one), TechToolPro 20 reports a throughput of 834.64MB/sec write and 829.32MB/sec read. The drive used for the test was a ranxiana 4.1TB SSD NVMe drive, so about as large a drive as possible physically and in terms of digital capacity, and I plugged the drive into a USB C port (not Thunderbolt). So . . . overall, the speed is great, and I've used it already for data transfers and it's been both swift and capable.I don't think I could be more pleased with my first toe dip into this pool of the NVMe drive cases, love the feedback from the digital display, and love the operation. I do note that it contains a battery and shows the charge level, and I haven't figured out the need for the battery yet. Sill, I am very very pleased overall.

Esteticamente accattivante e particolare, molto robusto e ben realizzato.

I used this enclosure with a 2TB Patriot m.2 SSD, and after formatting the SSD to exFAT (via windows) it works across both windows, mac, and my LG TV. No special drivers needed. Obviously this product listing is just the enclosure that facilitates USB usage, and you need to purchase whatever m.2 SSD drive that has the capacity and performance you need. The instructions are very sparse, and contained in a map-like foldout pamphlet that has many languages. In any event, you just stick the included heatsink squares on the SSD (they are removable), and screw things together with the included tiny screwdriver (thankfully included).I'm not sure how useful the LCD display will be (lots of info on the enclosed SSD over several pages), but if nothing else it is handy to check the chip temperature. There is no way to turn the display off though, so in some cases where you need darkness that might be a potential issue. One nicety is that the display does auto-rotate when you handle the enclosure. Plus it looks cool so that is always good. One downside I found, is that with a metal grounded device connected to USB, you need to be careful about static electricity. I picked up the enclosure to check the temperature as I was copying a lot of files, and a small spark made it display "Eco" and disconnect from my mac. At least the mac didn't crash, which is what happens with my PC when the USB ports experience static. After reconnection, everything was good and I was more careful.I'm just using the device for media storage and there is more than enough speed for streaming anything, so I didn't do any speed tests. The package includes 2 very short USB cables - C to C, and C to A. The enclosure itself is USB-C as you would expect, so you can connect to any USB C or A device that supports USB drives and your SSD format.
