Got this to replace a 5 in. Faberware santoku knife I purchased in 2012. This one is just as good as the original.

Good balance, retains sharpness (although I regularly do a light sharpening on any of my knives to keep at peak condition). I use this knife every day to slice semi hard cheese, sandwiches, vegetables and fruits. It has a solid feel and a good grip.

Bought this as a replacement that had broken in a set we already owned. We had to wait months for this exact knife to become available again. Our previous one broke in half when my husband dropped it. We have owned the set for several years and were happy enough with it to wait for the duplicate to be in stock.

It’s an ok knife for home use. Must have a knife sharpener such as a good wet stone or a work sharp electric sharpener. Have never been able to get a wonderful edge like a German steel or Japanese steel knife. It’s a beater.
