Without the third pin for the socket, the weight of the shade and salt makes the light sag forward — the front edge droops! I was disappointed since it doesn’t look perfect.Next purchase will be a 3 pin outlet configuration! I love the soft light and health effects—my first lamp didn’t sag, so I don’t know if this is a less expensive socket unit??
