It has only three elements for sifting the grounds. It’s been ineffective since day one. Compensated by getting a strainer from IKEA. Which was an awesome product btw. Siphons out grounds as you pour. Must have with this french press. Also the lid is mis-machined and does not seal well, negating the double hull design and allowing coffee to cool within 15!minutes. The reason I purchased this French press was for the size. 50L is rare so you take what you can get.

I bought one French press around the same time as this one, and honestly, I love its size. Honestly, it was the biggest one I found, and I Love the color. It's steel on the inside, and I love the color. It's made of very durable material. I would highly recommend it and will purchase it again.

I purchased two Bodum single serving glass presses and both had glass fractures within a year. While this Miscedence has only been in use for two weeks, it cleans easily and keeps the coffee hot while brewing.

This French press coffee maker seems well made with a quality workmanship. I am trying to make a different style of brewed coffee instead of Keurig machine that I have been using for many years. With this French press coffee maker, I could adjust and fine tune the taste and richness of coffee to my liking.The size of this machine is 50oz capacity and will make a several cups of brewed coffee to share. It’s made of 304 food-grade stainless steel both inside and outside and feels weighty and sturdy. There’s water level marks inside the pot for guess-free and consistent amount of water to be used.I made a several cups of coffee with pre-ground packaged coffee, and I find it good but a bit different than the taste I am used to the Keurig machine. It could be that the French press method of brewing adds more natural oil into brewed coffee or just I am not used to it yet. At least, I can always adjust amount of ground coffee, temperature and amount of water to adjust and tweak the taste with this machine.Even with 3-level filtration as it claims, it still contains fine ground powder and sediments at the bottom, no coarse particles though. Pouring is easy without dripping and spilling and the handle is cool to hold.I searched French press coffee maker recipes on internet and found several different methods. One recipe I used is to use 1:15 ratio of coffee and filtered water boiled at 200-degree F (not at 212F boiling temperature, let it cool a bit if boiling, there are a few scientific reasons to this recipe) and steep it 3 and 1/2 minutes (not typical 4 minutes). Pour 200F water into the pot, drop ground coffee, then stir gently to make floating grounds sink, steep and press the filter from all the way from top. That’s it.I am going to experiment many different combinations to find a best brewed coffee to my liking. It’s a bit of work to make a cup of coffee using this pot, however you will brew a better tasting and rich cup of coffee with more experience and tries without making a trip to a coffee specialty house.

Despite its appearances and overall decent build quality, the bottom of ours popped into a convex curve; think like a jar of jelly when you open it for the first time and after you close it again, you can press on it and it will pop in and out without staying in. This causes it to wobble on the countertop instead of resting securely and really detracts from the quality. love the color and stainless interior finish, though. Would be nice if they added a sight glass or some way to monitor the level of the coffee inside as pulling the lid will mix grounds back in. That was a feature I didn't know I liked about my previous glass one.
