I am a little bit conflicted using this wire to build cages around my several bird feeders to keep the starlings out, because it also filters out woodpeckers and spotted towhees and other desirable birds that are on the larger side, but, this fencing keeps the starlings out, so I keep building cages and using tiny bungee cords to hold the feeders in place so the starlings can’t tip the cages with their body weight to get to the bird food. This wire is easy to work with, not so thick you can’t see through it, perfect size for allowing songbirds in and keeping starlings out. Excellent product. I will probably use this wire when I turn my deck into a fully enclosed catio so my kitties can enjoy watching the birds too.

Long review (overall Great!)I purchased the 4' x 50' roll of 1.5" square hole Wire-Mesh for around Cdn $110 or so.I'd use the full 4' width for making 2' x 4' panels for a "Catio" - something which can be taken apart and moved to other locations - and after ripping the remaining 4' Mesh into 2 x 2' wide sections, I have lots for Fence Toppers to keep the furballs within their Cat Run.I am slowly adding fence-arches for the mesh to the top of each fence pole at this time - I can do about 5-10 homemade fence-arch frames a week (using 1.5" plumbing PVC pipe and my own design), and once I have my entire back yard (about .15 of an acre) or about 100m to go until all posts have an arch. Then even though I really only need 18" to cover the arch-span, having 24" gives me the option to extend the Arch further in/out, or have more lay against the fence and staple the bottom to the fence.See third photo and look at Top Right to see the arch's with wire-mesh attached. Cat Run is 90% finished, just needs a door and final mesh on top of main wall to prevent house-roof access too!HINT - I found that the Mesh connecting the Arches tends not to bend or lay flat correctly, and I was worried about it looking loose or sloppy. But once I started pinning the bottom of the mesh to the fence, it all tightened up nicely, even generating a nice Arch between the arches, giving a very good look. I was freaking out over nothing!ALSO - Get the Black coated Mesh - it virtually disappears as soon as you focus your eyes past the mesh. Silver/shiny mesh looks are not my forte, so strongly urge builders to use black coated if at all possible. See second photo of main wall to demonstrate how the black fades into the background. Every photo will demonstrate this ability.HINT - have a pair of gloves handy - don't need welders mitts or anything, just something to help bend the cut wires to connect pieces together. Also, because I have a 20Gal Air Compressor, I picked up a 18Ga compressed air Wire Nipper at Canadian Tire for about $68. Great for doing a fast rip right down the middle of a 50' roll of mesh wire LOL. And also good for other tin, aluminum or other similar material to zip without needing wire cutters. But keep a pair of manual side-cutters handy for those hard-to-get-places.If building a cat tunnel - simply grab a plank of wood - 2x6, 2x8 or 10. Attach a 3' or 4' wide section of Mesh to the bottom of one side of the plank. Grab other side, bend carefully to attach the end to the other underside of the plank. Voila - Instant Cat Tunnel! Up to 50' long - if you want!I've purchase more than 2 rolls so far, and foresee a ton of project where I can utilize this Mesh - and hope you can too!

I got this to help keep deer and rabbits from my sun flower bed. I hope this works. If not, it is not the fault of the product, but more likely my installation or the tenacity of the wildlife. It came undamaged and wrapped nicely. The fence seems thinner than I expected. I was hoping it would stand on it's own for 10 feet, but it did not. I added garden poles for support every 5 feet. The color is nice, the black really helps it blend into the background from a distance. It cut very easily with metal snips. I think wire cutters and probably even heavy duty scissors would work nicely.I'm not sure it's galvanized. The very ends of the fence were rusty in the box. Not enough where the product was damaged, but enough to make me wonder if it will rust on the ends that I cut.

We live on a golf course so used this wire fencing to wrap around our gazebo walls to protect us from errant golf balls. Works great! Much sturdier than window screening and golf balls can't get thru the openings.

We installed this around our deck as our spindles are too far apart and our puppy was escaping. Very easy to trim with wire cutters and I was able to install it on my own. I was worried it was going to look cheesy but it actually doesn’t look too bad. I’m hoping it holds up throughout the winter months.
