ILD / Compression Rating Explanation

This product has a compression rating of 36 lbs.

Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress the piece of foam by 1 inch in a 7x7 inch area.

For example, if you put 36 lbs in a 7x7 inch area, the foam will compress 1 inch.

Density Explanation

Many mistakenly take high density foams as firmer foams but that is not the case. A foam that is 36 ILD in a medium and high density will feel the same.

Density is the lifespan of the foam, the higher the density the more material is used to make the foam hence making it last longer.

****Disclaimers****

Many advertise their 1.8 density foam as high density which is false advertisement. When looking at foam products you should look at the ILD / Compression Rating ( Firmness and Softness ) of the foam and Density ( Lifespan / Durability ) of the foam.

Sunlight will turn this unit from white to yellow, if you do not want a color change on your unit we suggest keeping it away from direct sunlight.

The pad seemed true to size which was a little more than I needed. Easy to unpack and expand. After full expansion I easily trimmed with an electric knife and fit nicely under a deep pocket fitted sheet. Smell wasn't too bad after couple days either.

I don’t know why dog bed companies act like washing the outer cover is all that is necessary to keep a clean bed. We all know accidents happen or even the drool from a new chew toy soaks into the pad. So when the time came, instead of buying new beds… I bought this foam and it was even better than what came in the bed. Using a serrated kitchen knife, I trimmed it to size and was able to refurbish two dog beds for much less than replacing even one!!This time around, I took large carpet protecting tape to waterproof the pad. I’m good to go for a least a couple years now.. only needing to throw the outer cover in the laundry when needed.Cheers!

We bought a number of these foam pads for bedding during our family gathering. They are alright if you like a rather firm mattress. In between times, they do take up a good deal of room, so to get them out of the way we have stacked them one on top of another, in a manner to resemble a large bed (complete with blankets!), to store in the extra bedroom.

This foam mattress is top-notch. It helps me sleep so well, and I'd highly recommend it for your home, etc. It smelled funny when I first took it out, but I aired it out for 24 hours for each side. Now, it smells great. I added a waterproof protector over it, and I sleep better than a baby. Ha, ha.

I am quite surprised. I would have expected this to be like any memory foam I've ever come across; soft with just enough give to be supportive without being too soft. This, however, is totally hard and doesn't give any support or comfort.

foam came in a sturdy box, well wrapped and protected. unrolled it and let it air for a couple of hours and was ready to use .. Very firm and good quality from my viewpoint! Will buy again from this supplier

I used it, among other padding on a fold out ottoman used as an extra bed. It helped considerably to make the ottoman a tolerable bed for occasional use were it needed to be quickly folded out of the way so the room could be used.
