Nice simple, right twist only.Twisting left will dissemble.Looks like a standard drill chuck.

It is bigger and heavier than a pen drill but I bought it because of the well made chuck that will handle a 3/8" bit. I use it for crafts where I want to go slow and gently such as drilling holes in PVC musical instruments (quenas, etc).
