I had the Hayden 2771 clutch previously on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The 2791 is louder on startup, but after about 30 seconds (depending on outside temp) it quiets down very quickly and after this it becomes quieter than the 2771, which is louder when not engaged. So it is more efficient at cooling when it's hot out and needed, but when it's not needed there is less noise

Installed on a Jeep TJ. Replaced the old OEM. It's no loaded in my opinion. Running a hard top, but the AC works better at idle and I have no complaints.

Exact fit for my 98 dodge 1500 5.2! I was very impressed with the make and quality of this fan clutch. Exact OEM replacement. Very tight and easy install.

Part fits perfect, but doesn't seem to disengage at all. Better than not ever engaging like my old one, but still robs some power.

Perfect replacement on my 97 grand Cherokee 5.2.. Engine runs cool again. Had overheating problems for years. Couldn't use the A/C in stop and go traffic, always overheated. Not anymore.. Yes it is louder and possibly may have lost some gas mileage, but it's a V8 with almost 200k, 15mpg avg. isn't bad.

Its a SEVERE DUTY fan clutch. It works flawlessly. You can visit the manufacturer website to see the specs for a Severe Duty fan clutch. If i recall correctly, when engaged it spins at 80% to 90% of engine speed, which means it NOISY. At 2000 RPMs the fan is louder than the engine and my (stock) exhaust.I knew it was going to be noisy, but I bought it anyway because of:A) My OEM fan clutch was dead and I needed a replacement ASAP.B) I couldn't find any other fan clutch available. Now, considering I live in the dryest desert on earth, its not such a bad deal at all. I gave it 4 stars only because of the noise, but I have no complaints at all with its performance. In fact, now i can use the AC at full "artic blizzard" mode while offroading in the desert and the engine temp stays below 200° F.

After diagnosing the overheating issue on my Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup to be a failed fan clutch, I called a few shops in the area and was quoted around $100 for the part and anywhere from $100 to $340 for labor, all saying the radiator and fan shroud had to be removed to access the fan clutch. I bought this clutch for a under $60 from Amazon and installed it in 15 minutes without removing either the radiator or the fan shroud. I just separated the fan from the clutch, then removed the clutch from the water pump pulley, slid the clutch out between the shroud and the engine, and installed the new clutch in the reverse order. The new clutch moves the fan at a high enough speed even at low engine temps that there is considerable fan-roar now that was not there before, but I'm hoping that will mellow out as the clutch breaks in. Whatever, it solved the low-driving-speed overheating problem immediately.Good product, good company, and thanks, Amazon!
