LOVE this knife, it's great for small hands. So easy to use without feeling like it's too heavy. I have a 7 inch and it's fabulous too, but it can feel heavy. Love the Santoku knife, very versatile. I would recommend this product.

I've purchased several of these through the years, and I love every one of them! The weight distribution on the knives are superb, they look great, and they stay sharp for a VERY long time! After sharpening, they return to new condition and continue to look great! I will never buy cheaper knives again, these look and feel awesome!

I had been looking for a sharp but still affordable santoku knife and that's what I got. I know this a reliable brand so I'm happy that the product was what I hoped for.

I usually stay away from sharp objects but needed a sharp knife in the kitchen. This knife is sharp and small enough to handle well and works perfectly for what I needed. I had bought a similar knife in the paste but it was nothing like this knife. I would recommend it highly.

My wife's favorite knife! It came sharp, but I still gave it a couple passes over my ceramic rod before first use. The edge holds up nicely and it cuts great through most everything my wife throws at it. She was upset with me when I retired my old Ikea santoku that was her previous favorite. Once she started using this new one it was love at first cut. It is a little on the small side for my hands, but I bought the 7 inch for me which feels perfect. It looks beautiful with my other Henckels Forged Synergy knives and with a little care when washing and a nice dry, stays shiny and spotless. These are the nicest knives I have ever owned. I have a real hard time spending hard earned money on kitchen utensils as I am not a chef, I don't even play one on TV. I do however cook...every day, and having a decent set of knives has made it even more enjoyable than it already was.

Bought this knife for a friend, which she likes the feel so far, but immediately called me to scream bloody mercy about "MADE IN CHINA" logo on blade. If I would have known this detail, I would never have bought this knife. All my Henckels knives are made in Germany or at least German steel and made in Spain. I try hard never to buy China products, sorry. If this isn't an issue, get the knife, as it works pretty well so far.

I love these knives! My husband got me the whole set and block for a gift and we started filing the empty slots afterwards. We bought this knife at last and the reason why I am giving 3 stars is because we treat it just like the rest: Don't wash them in the dishwasher, etc, etc, etc... one day this knife showed up with the handle all cracked! I don't know what could have happened, because I even wash my knives and dry and put them back in the block.I contacted Henckels to ask for a warranty and they said they would exchange it for me but I need to pay for shipping, they want a copy of my email exchange with them and a letter explaining all this. I really use my knives every day and this one with the 8 or 7 inch santoku are the ones I use the most! I don't want to be left without my knife now... Other companies simply take a picture from you and they stand by their products and warranty service is amazing!But if you're interested they are sharp and you don't need to sharp them all the time. I actually sharpened my bigger santoku like over a year ago and I sharpened it again today.

Very sharp, nice an heavy. Note: only has the santoku edge on one side. Over all happy with this product.
