I ordered one of these for a stepper motor. The board came in crushed, like a forklift ran over it. I ordered these before and had the same issues. I got one good board 1 time. Amazon made it good when there was a problem.

UPDATE:Resoldered all components in the PCB, and the device started to work!---------------------I am very disappointed with the performance of this device. I intend to use it in a project to drive a .8 A NEMA 11 stepper drive with practically no load and use an Arduino Nano to generate the pulse/direction signals. The project requires the motor to run at 360 RPM constant speed for about one minute, stop 2 seconds and start again. I tested all combinations of excitation modes (0, 1, 2, 8, and 16) and all the decay settings combinations with unsatisfactory noise, speed, and direction results.- The motor would change direction randomly when applying minimum load. The speed is inconsistent with decay settings.- Sometimes, the motor runs at half the speed at max decays.- There should be a connection or soldering issue in the PCB of the device as it is affected by vibration. In the end, my system works better with an A4988 Stepper Motor Driver than with this device.

I use this on my homemade CNC router and it is outperformed even more expensive drivers so I will definitely get a couple more

I got a driver missing an SMD component. If you need 10, order 12 and return the extras if they are still good.

Would give 3.5 stars if possible. It does work properly (so far). Just noting the condition and presentation. One of the switches is cracked and missing the lever, and another switch is improperly mounted on the board. Had to use tweezers to carefully adjust broken switch. The text is very blurry and difficult to read and the whole board was covered in a nasty residue.

I like it it does the job .I wounder why they think late to add cooling fan for this. It was failing because of over heating now it is works fine. They should give some documentation how to add height probe and software to compensate leveling etc.

I'm a first time experimenter with steppers and was very easy to set up. Works great.
