Decent camper gift, but it feels cheap. Pretty sure I got someone’s returned item due to the condition of the packaging, inside and out.

Tried a few small sandwiches with cheese & everything ran over the sides to my stove top.The device was easy to clean...but my stove top was not!

I bought this to have a hotdog every now and then. I’m the only one in the house who eats them. I also am a texture person and love crunch. I saw a video online of someone making a hotdog using this press and I thought I’d give it a try. A lot of reviews say that it’s really small and yes, it is small when you open the package, but rest assured a hotdog bun, and a full size wiener, not the jumbo wieners, but a regular wiener, will fit into the bun and into the press. I add cheese to mine And it comes out cooked every time. I do 2 to 2 1/2 minutes on each side and I use a gas stove on med low.Some people complain that the handles are too short. They certainly would be too short if you were using it on an open campfire. The handles are just right for my use in the kitchen. I can see myself making little sandwich burritos out of this. The press is nonstick and I had no issues at all with the cheese that had melted out of my hotdog. It just wiped right off. Overall, it was a good purchase.

I bought this for my son-in-law who wanted it for camping. He specifically wanted the one that seals the hotdog inside a piece of bread. He said it worked great!

Cute set, and even an easy to put together folded knife and for a really nice touch! Note that the way you get the knife and fork to stay together is to PUSH the folding piece past these kind of bumps on the knife edge or fork tines bits and it will click hard and stay together with enough strength to hold and cut or fork. You may have to lightly squish together the sides of the pieces to get it past the bumps but it will work and stay beautifully. The set takes a bit to put together but works and after that you have a lovely toasty sandwich maker and you just need a plate or something plate-ish that can keep the heat from your lap and you're good to go! Even a bag to carry the pieces in! Nice!
