I recently got a used in excellent condition to go with a . The lens came without a hood, so I started looking for a compatible one, and decided to give this one a try:PROS- Compact- Lite weight as it's made of aluminum- Weights only 32g (about 1.15oz)CONS- It's a little difficult to attach the lens cap with the hood on, as it is tight for the fingers.In conclusion I’m satisfied with the product.

The lens hood is good quality and does the job it was designed for. I would usually not buy a lens hood that screws into the filter threads, but I needed one for my 50mm and this looked like the most cost effective option. Beware that if you want to use a filter, you'll have to unscrew the lens hood, screw in the filter, then screw the lens hood into the filter. Not the most convenient, but it works. I don't know if it cause some vignetting or not.

Very solid metal hood. Easy to use and looks very good. It sure will last because it is metal.
