About this item

  • 【Multifunctional Air Quality Monitor】 The indoor air quality monitor can tell you the value of Formaldehyde (HCHO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Particle Matter (PM 2.5), Temperature and Humidity in your home. Let you know the air condition any time you are breathing in.
  • 【Personalize】 The indoor air quality monitor can record 365 days’ data and form a graph. Auto sleep function of screen. Auto awake when motion detected. Auto adjust the brightness of the screen. Three interface styles - blue, gray and black. Two temperature units °F and ℃ for you to choose.
  • 【Accuracy and High Quality】 The air quality tester adapts DART electronic chemical sensors which are more accurate and reliable. We advise to test the air above 15 minutes with the doors and windows closing. Then the result you get will be more accurate.
  • 【Real Time Reading and Easy Operation】 The results are clearly displaying on the 7” lcd screen. The air quality level will tell you the air quality indoor anytime. It’s very easy to understand the meaning of each value with the reference of user manual. The air quality detector can be operated with only four function keys, very convenient.
  • 【Ease Living with Good Air Quality】 With the help of the air quality detector, you can know the density of CO2, temperature and humidity at home, whether the air breathing is good.

Decent unit, helps when you're curious or trying to detect stuff. Just realized it's 5 years old. Found it in a box I forgot about, has a charge and it's still working from like 4 years ago lol..

In the immortal words of the Jensen, it just works. It charges via usb and turns on with a switch and boom, off to the races. It can be calibrated by taking it outside and pushing 'Cal'. If someone is unable to figure this out, you need to immediately call EMS because they are going to forget how to breathe any second and/or are currently having a stroke. I tested (very informally) it by putting it near known pollutants and the response time was much quicker than expected (a couple to 10 seconds of being in the same area started it spiking up). The battery life is nothing to write home about, but again better than expected, as it is powering a display and intake fan in addition to the sensors. All told, seems like a pretty great product for the price, I will amend this review if I encounter any issues that I find egregious.

Not a great product at all for the money. It is not for professional use and you cannot change the temperature setting from Celsius to Fahrenheit. The instructions are okay, but not detailed or adequate for such an in-depth technological product. It feels cheap in your hand, therefore it’s difficult to believe the readings. I’ve used this product in the same area as numerous other products of similar caliber, and this product does not measure anywhere close to the other 6 products I’ve used in the same area, for the same readings. All other products were within a similar range, however this product was nowhere close to the others. I advise to look elsewhere for a better product.

UPDATE: 1-30-19: Be sure to calibrate before each use, if turned off previously. Lots of formaldehyde HCHO (.130) in our zip-loc bag drawer. Also, lots of HCHO by the new shower curtains in my bathroom, but diminishes if I run the evac. fan. END UPDATE. Trying to track down the source of my violent sneezing attacks and my wife's heavy coughing, mostly in our house. We keep the carpet cleaned, and HVAC filters changed regulary. However, with a green laser beam on, in the dark, I see a lot of dust particles! But the PM 2.5 doesn't detect them, as of yet. Only 4 stars because it doesn't have a stand. Otherwise, maybe 5. I ordered it yesterday and got it today. After my near 80 yr. old brain comprehended the setup instructions, and executed them, I searched the house and garage for little nasties. The alarm went off near the garage gas cans! All the readings dropped when placed over my home made humidifier. So far, no nasties found, but it does not like my fresh laundered undershirts!

In spite of some not so great reviews, I'd have to say I'm pretty happy with this unit. As directed on the on screen prompts, I calibrated the unit and when done took it roaming thru my house , had someone blow smoke at it and drove behind a smelly semi truck. Each situation gave results which I've had expected... Behind the semi and smoke both sent the unit into unhealthful and serious categories. One thing that is apparent is supposed real time actually has about a 15 second display before results start showing so you can't just quickly walk from room to room and if something like smoke pegs the meter at a high value, you have to give it a few long seconds for the sensor to start measuring normal readings again.Moving on, the unit is very easy to set, program, manually calibrate and give offsets if auto calibrate isn't satisfactory. It has decent graphing with adjustable rates of time.Being picky, it would have been nice to have a computer interface but for the price, I'm not complaining. There are 3 very slight annoyances the unit has... Every now and then the unit will drop all values to basically 0 as if the sensor is resetting itself or recalibrating but then continues right where it left off... And the second is the fact it only displays Celsius for the temp not F as we.typically use in the US and time is of course in 24hr format... And last is the fact that the data logging doesn't continue if you leave that screen to view other values. When you return, it starts completely over.

I do not have a way to validate the numbers but they seem accurate. I imagine this is a concern among many products like this. I initially used it without reading the instructions and it gave me warnings for formaldehyde. I calibrated it using the method describe in the manual and the numbers seem more in line with my hopes.I did use some clorox wipes in front of it and the HCHO readings spiked high for a while in that area. The oven ran at 400 for 40 minutes and HCHO readings spiked as well but this may be a false alarm. It might not be.It is important when turning this on to let it "preheat" in clean air outside of the house and to do the calibration for the first time as well as let it cool off if the box it came in was sitting in the sun when it arrived before trying to use it.It is also important to understand how these types of units work. They have fans that draw in a specific volume of air and are calibrated for that. When you walk around it will increase that volume or possibly expose it to more contaminants and possibly skew the numbers so be sure to let it sit somewhere for 5 minutes if you want accurate ratings. Its also good not to have it directly under a fan or HVAC vent for the same reason although walking with it seems to cause the worst of the fluctuations.
