IRONTEK Fan Clutch Functions

The fan clutch controls how quickly the cooling fan spins against the radiator. The hotter the engine gets, the more the fan has to spin. If the fan clutch is not functioning correctly, the fan won’t spin at the right speed and therefore can’t provide the cooling needed. It could spin too much and waste power coming from the engine, or spin too little and not cool the engine enough.

Clutch fan search for a 2001 chevy Tahoe, the Amazon filter confirmed fit; however the fit is the mounting nut which fits but the functionality of clutch was not.

It only lasted about 50 miles, then it will not disengage and is basically like having a fan straight bolted on without a clutch. sounds like a dump truck. too bad I can't return it. cheap, get what you pay for, I guess.
