I ordered 3 of the LP 50th Anniversary congas and three of them came with shell protectors that had lost their rubber guards during shipping. I could have sent the drums back but they are almost impossible to find and I did not want to take a chance on loosing out. My solution was to order a pack of these shell protectors and eat the cost. While the overall design is not very sturdy at least replacements are cheap. It was cheaper and easier to buy a pack of these than to deal with sending back three drums.
