Hoping for the best but seems a re-accuring theme in the reviews. Unpacked plugged in per instructions for 24 hrs + to charge. Ac light didn't come on (to indicate lights were taking a charge. Test switch showed a brief flicker . Switch sockets.. Nothing. returned..

I purchased two of these lights, both would not light it would appear to be a battery issued.

The emergency light was easy to install. It looked good. I plugged it in and let it charge for a couple of days … but when I unplugged it, the lights blinked a nanosecond and then left me in total darkness. I returned it.

Mounted at front door and I was lucky enough that the cord length perfectly ran to a nearby outlet down along the adjacent window. I bought the beige D-Line cord cover kit and it matches the wall paint and looks great. Battery only lasts about three hours but its an emergency exit light, not a storm light.

The only thing good about this unit is the long built in power cord. However it is so cheaply made it really has no business being $40 IMO
