I wanted to add electronics to my ukulele and I was willing to drill a hole to make it perfect. Once I got it I realized that my hand didn’t fit in the hole to be able to screw it from the inside and stick the piezo mics. 🙄 duh

I'm sure there are super expensive pickups out there that sound a little better, but for me, a casual musician, I was blown away at how good this thing sounded for how cheap it was, and how easy it was to install in my ukelele. Great buy!

I bought this for a very cheap mandolin that I desperately needed to amplify.I had some help with installation from a friend. In as far as drilling the hole and mounting it we didn't have any problems which were caused by the jack, however, when mounting the peizo pickups the glue provided was not quite adequate. One of the pickups fell off after a day or two and I had to remount it with double-sided tape. This worked for a bit but the damage had already been done and it continued to fall off afterward. During one of my attempts to remount it the pickup broke and was no longer usable so I cut if off.To be fair, the issue may have been the mandolin more than the adhesive; the wood on the inside of the mandolin is somewhat rough. That said, even with only two of the pickups I still get a fairly full sound, I have not had any problems since (it's been about three months now) and I just got bought a second one for my ukulele. I will give an update once I've installed it in the uke and have had a bit of experience with it.
