Got this for a good friend of myan to help him out on quality and great Starter sense this is his first microphone, So not only it is cheap and have all the things you need from the kit compared spending alot more by getting each thing separate if let just say you got a Yeti but need everything else to add be pass over 200 bucks maybe more,So yeah not only Save money but will save time and the set up was very simple for my friend have no trouble with the armstand, popfilter, and shockmount for the mic. Which speaking of the mic it self from the calls I have been with him he sounds great and hear him pretty clear plus he love singing so he did that mic handle it well with no peaking, then another test for the audio when he did few lines for me and it came out great like it's not ruff but luckily which made me happy were not having issues with the audio being flat and cant hear, I can hear him fine and little editing on audacity or other recording software can help fix it up a bit then boom, In my opinion I think it is much better then the Snowball some people say it is sensitive but seem fine maybe dont mess with the arm when recording cause I can hear the waddling a bit which I will guess holding the mic without the arm or the tripod be bad idea, also another thing on the calls I dont hear his family in the backgorund only if they come in so that pick up not to sensitive. But I would recommend not have Fans or close by air vent On,plus the foem cover should help on the background and the popfilter seems pretty good, really the only downside I see the arm is a bit on the cheap but I say take good care of it maybe replace the rubber piece when it is loose and falling off of the clamp, maybe have a cloth or something to cover but flat so to avoid scratches,But if it breaks the tripod it is pretty decent on recording so that is also a good option ( maybe not pc gamers sense yeah keyboard) however if still want an arm as long u have the shockmount should be fine getting a new arm,Other then that I say it is a pretty legit Set up to start on and my friend sounded really happy can't wait to see what he can do with this set up :)

Decided to pick this mic up due to the great price point. Was a little worried that it would be low quality but the reviews helped me make my decision. The boom arm is easy to install and really the whole system is. My PC recognized it immediately and has improved my audio quality on my streams. My only downfall I've noticed in the 3 days or so of using is that there seems to be a "metallic" echo that is picked up from any (and really ANY) vibration. So if you set the mic in position and leave it there for the remainder of the usage you should be fine, just no adjusting during your stream or recording if you want to avoid that.

I do a LOT of video editing and (subsequently) audio recording. I have owned dozens of microphones from most of the well-known manufacturers. For several years I used Rhode and Blue microphones. I don't just mean some budget Rhode mics but specifically the NTG3 ($700), the NTK ($530), the NTR ribbon mic ($800), and the Podmic ($100). On the Blue microphone side I own the Bottlerocket ($1000), the Yeti X ($169), the Yeti ($129), the Yeti Caster ($200), and two Snowballs ($70) with additional shockmounts.A friend of mine who streams on Twitch kept mentioning this brand Maono (pronounced "Mono") and I dismissed his opinion for several months. However...over time I noticed that his mic sound quality on Twitch was superb. Eventually I looked up the Maono company website and was impressed by the technology included at such a phenomenal price. So in early November of 2019 I decided to purchased the MAONO A425 Plus kit. At the time it was around $65. This is not a typo. For that price you get a quality 192KHZ/24Bit Cardioid Condenser PC Microphone mic, with an included pop filter, included foam wind mic cover, a separate podcasting stand, and another stand that mounts to a desk. If that doesn't melt your mind then the professional sound quality the mic produces should. All of the mics I have purchased previously came with pretty much NOTHING. No pop filter, no desk mount/stand, no foam mic cover. The microphone has a weighty durable feel to it and looks like my thousand dollar mics. I can tell ZERO audible difference in recordings when compared to my professional mics. This mic is simply amazing. I have now used it for 6 months with zero issues. My USB Blue mics which cost 3x the amount would frequently have annoying random disconnections. Entering certain apps would cause the Blue mics to no longer be the default recording device in Windows AND Mac OS. It was so frustrating. Not with this Maono mic. It just works. I have never had a single issue during hundreds of recordings, dozens of client projects, and hundreds of Twitch streams. I am continuously impressed with the quality of this mic and the amazing price point and I am sore that I paid so much for the other mics which simply don't live up to their inflated prices. Maono has a new customer for life.
