My first one is 15 years old. Needed another to keep my shrimp alive at the house in coolers of seawater.

I have used these for years. Flood water recently caused me to loose mine and ordered another. Two actually. Always dependable and hard to kill.

Does the trick. The tubes are folded up in package and flattened it causing less airflow. Tried to open it up but maybe it got warm in storage and really compressed the tubing, the solidified. It still works, could work alittle better.

I just received this product a couple of days ago, so I cannot comment yet on longevity. I can tell you how things are going so far. This is specific to others who are using it for fungi, particularly the Paul Stamets method.Pros:The dual hose allows you to aerate two buckets simultaneouslyThe output really keeps the liquid rolling! It does the job well. There is a weight on each airstone, sufficient to keep it submerged. You have everything that you need to plug it in, hook up the airstones, and start doing your thing! No need to shop around and piece together each of these parts separately.Cons:The hose that is included is rather short once you split it into two, to use both stones at the same time. You'll need to position the pump itself right next to the 5 gallon buckets. If you want to use larger barrels right away rather than diluting later on, then you'll need more hose. The pump is loud enough that I wouldn't want it to reverberate throughout my home. It is fine to keep in the breezeway, porch, or outside.Your outlet needs to be in an accessible location, because this doesn't have an on/off switch. You'll plug it in, and unplug it, in order to run it.Altogether, this product is great for my purposes, and fits the budget well. I'm glad that I purchased it, and will update if I run into any problems. I hope that this review is helpful to you in making your decisions. Please let me know, and happy shopping!

G'day, I bought a couple of these pumps about two years back or so. I could go through my Amazon history and find out for sure but it isn't relevant. The first two pumps are still going strong each running half of a 75 gallon aquarium. The other pump on each tank has been replaced once for each.So with the apparent quality of the first pair of pumps proven I bought several more. I now have them as half the air on each of 12 75 gallon tanks. And they just keep working. I was very impressed so I have had two pair outside providing air for my big pond. And one of them was a used pump from an indoor goldfish winter tank. They outside pumps are covered but they still get damp. And they just keep working. And working. And working. I now have about 12 spare pumps to replace my name brand pumps as they fail. The pumps are quiet compared to the other pumps and I have yet to have one that I could find fault with. Just good pumps.

This aerator provides LOTS of bubbles! I got it to make vermicompost tea and it works very well for that purpose. I bought larger stones at the same time, so I never tried the stones that come with this pump, but they look sufficient to work well (for those concerned about the lead weights on the provided stones, they can be easily taken off). The pump does hum, as all aerators do, but since I'm using it in the garage I can't say if it would be annoying in the house or not.I've read reviews that claim this pump produces too many bubbles for their aquarium, but I can say for sure that it is the BEST for making vermicompost or manure tea, as there is NO lack of bubbles at all! With dual outlets I can make two 5 gallon buckets at once with each getting more than enough bubbles. The provided tube is seven feet long and needs to be cut in half to use both outlets. I place the pump on top of the chest freezer in our garage and have the two 5 gallon buckets on a milk crate (a steel milk crate from my dad's business many years ago - I did NOT steal it) on the floor next to the freezer, which allows the stones to lay on the bottom of the buckets. Buying a longer length of tube would allow for the buckets to sit on the floor, so I should buy more tubing, and perhaps most buyers would benefit from more tubing to be able to best use both outlets.

I Bought this Air bubbler for my 5 gallon aquarium, and it works fantastic!! Just what i needed. This product comes just as advertised. It comes with the Air pump, the Tubeing, and the airstones. The airstones provide excellent amount of air, to provide a great amount of Oxygen into the water, and the stones are also weighted so they sink to the bottom of the Aquarium. The only thing that does not come with the air bubbler, that is also needed is the One Way Check Valve that prevents the aquarium water to syphin back into the air pump causing water damage and possibly cause electricity shock if there is a plug or an extension cord, or anything else electrical around. I STRONGLY SUGGEST GETTING THE ONE WAY CHECK VALVE FOR THIS AS IT IS NOT INCLUDED!!. This air bubbler is very very good for small aquariums, but NOT SURE how great it will work for LARGE AQUARIUMS, so i recommend this product for 5 & 10 Gallon Aquariums.
