This stereo installation kit is engineered to help you install an aftermarket 4" tall (Double-DIN) radio into the original vehicle dashboard. This dash kit helps make radio replacement simple and is designed to match the original look and feel of the vehicle's dashboard. Installing an aftermarket radio can upgrade the sound quality and provide additional features the original factory radio couldn't offer but requires this dash kit to make it fit.

Not sure what this was designed for- but its *NOT* a 2007 Toyota 4Runner! I've got a picture of this new face frame compared with the old radio being replaced. This filler piece is designed to fill a hole about 220 mm wide by 100 mm tall. The 4Runner's original radio has a face of about 198 mm x 98 mm. The filler piece is well over 20 mm too wide to fit the hole.

Used in my 2006 Toyota 4Runner Limited with the factory JBL system and it wasn’t the easiest or perfect fit, but with some patience it worked great and looks very clean!

I recently purchased the Metra 95-8210 Double DIN Installation Kit for my 2006 Toyota 4Runner Limited, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. The kit is well-designed, making the installation process a breeze. The build quality of the kit is impressive, with sturdy materials that feel durable and long-lasting. The fit and finish perfectly complement the interior of my 4Runner, giving it a sleek and professional appearance. The color match is spot-on, making it look like an original part of the vehicle. One of the aspects I appreciate the most is the user-friendly installation instructions. Even for someone with limited experience in car audio installations, the step-by-step guide made the process simple and straightforward. The kit includes all the necessary hardware, making it a comprehensive solution for upgrading your car's audio system.Beyond the aesthetic improvements, the Metra 95-8210 kit ensures a secure and snug fit for my double DIN head unit. I haven't experienced any rattling or loose components, reflecting the kit's attention to detail and precision engineering.Overall, I highly recommend the Metra 95-8210 Double DIN Installation Kit to any Toyota 4Runner Limited owner looking to enhance their car audio experience. It's a fantastic product that delivers on both form and function. Kudos to Metra for creating a top-notch installation kit!

Fits great for me with a 2007 (4th gen) Toyota 4Runner SR5 with the former factory JBL synthesis stereo (without navigation). It was a little tight to get in there but I’d rather it fit snug than be loose. Definitely needed it after upgrading the stereo. I’m very happy overall. Would recommend.

This is for a LIMITED!!! Do not buy for trim level under that. If you are unsure look at your radio shroud. If it has the black area seen in my photo do not buy. I did and now I need to return. This is why people say it is too wide junk. I have installed many stereos requiring after market brackets and this is every bit as solid as any one you will find. I wish I had caught it sooner or read the reviews. Otherwise it is just what you need. Not gona blame the company for my ignorance.

As the title states, I think it only works for 2003, 2004, and maybe 2005

Don’t buy. Doesn’t fit even though description says it should.

Pretty flimsy, screw hole settings don't really line up well. You really have to muscle it in order to get everything to fit in the space but after a lot of sweat and curse words, everything is lined up and functioning properly.

Used this Dash kit on my 2003 4Runner, really good fit and finish. Only thing I would change is put another set of screws in the kit that are a touch longer. I had to use aftermarket screws, but no big deal.

Be very careful before you buy your dash kit for the 4th Gen 4Runner. The size of the OEM head unit varies across 4Runners and this variation has nothing to do with what sub-model of 4Runner you have. So, saying "this doesn't work on the Sport Edition" is not helpful and only causes more confusion. This fits the opening if you have the pictured OEM head unit on your 4Runner.Your best bet is to go to crutchfield.com, input your exact OEM head unit features (navigation, RDS, etc.), put a head unit in your cart, then see what dash kit it tells you works with this set up.Follow the directions on install to the letter - take off the OEM metal mounts and re-align them with the new plastic mounts. It might seem like they don't line up, but they do. You just have to mess with it until it does.
