The plastic is on the cheaper side, a little brittle so have some patience and don’t force anything. The rest was smooth sailing and no issues. Fits perfectly and was very easy to install. Clipped in tight and is very secure.

Bought this as the factory Toyota stereo died and I purchased an aftermarket single DIN unit ( half the height) to replace it and needed an adapter. I looked at one in Canadian Tire but it seemed poor quality and was more expensive. This unit was easy to install and fitted perfectly. Obviously be careful and not too heavy-handed with it as it is plastic, though. It looks good and there is the included small shelf/storage bin that is part of the unit - ideal for your cell phone or MP3/4 player you might want to hook up to your stereo as I did. The colour is satin black and is close enough to the colour of the other panels on the dashboard for my liking. If you wanted to change the colour, there are spray paints for plastic that could do that. Recommended!

Cheap. Dont use a ratchet to tighten anything. Use a screw driver and be carefull. DO NOT over tighten. Fit great though

man, i wanted to hit this thing with the dreaded TWO, maybe even ONE star review. because when i opened the bag, i discovered to my dismay that the little piece that i guess attaches to the rear of the under-stereo pocket was missing.but i cant be too mad. why?1) the unit i installed was a bluetooth/usb/aux unit, with no cd player. so it only extends maybe 4 inches deep, and without the cd player mechanicals, it weight just about nothing. with 4 mounting bolts underneath the entire unit+mount, i'm fairly confident the lack of a rear support bracket will have little to no effect on the stereo2) i was so dang excited to install the stereo that it wasn't until my dashboard was entirely pried off and in my lap that i even opened the bag and discovered it was missing a piece. at that point i wasn't gonna just pop in that trim and wait for an exchange, because no, just no.3) look at it. it looks gorgeous. can't do anything about the aesthetics of a blocky aftermarket stereo but the mounting kit itself is very well done and just about looks OEM. completely flush with the surrounding trim pieces.not gonna waste too much breath stressing about a missing part. if you're reading this, check the bag's contents before you start removing trim. if you follow this one important step you're basically guaranteed a great product.

I bought this to pair with a Kenwood unit I bought from Amazon as well . The fit and finish of this adapter is pretty nice in my book, and although the plastic's texture and appearance is different than that of the dashboard around it, the overall look is not bad at all.I really like how securely it held the head unit in, not allowing it to rock up and down at all. I was easily able to insert the deck into the slot from the front side and secure it into the adapter in just minutes. The assembly took barely any time at all and the 12 included screws fit perfectly and held the whole thing together well. I also liked that the shelf was below the head unit. It's a pretty deep shelf as well! My Nexus 6P fits in it with a case on with no problems.I figured I would put up a pic showing the completed setup. I apologize for the bad photo quality and dirty car, lol.Overall I would say if you are in the market for an adapter like this then you have found a good one here!

Worked and fit perfectly. I was a bit concerned about having to use the frame from the original stereo as one of the youtube vids I checked out about it suggested I would need to, but this kit has everything you need to put it together, you just pull the old stereo out and all of is framing/bracing, then assemble this guy together. You can either assemble it around your stereo or I think it was easier to just assemble it firs then slip in the casing bracket for the stereo, put it all into the car, then slide the stereo in that way. The instructions are a bit useless but it goes together fairly intuitively.

I agree with many of the other reviews. The instructions are lacking. Make sure you buy the wiring harness that matches for a Toyota Corolla - . Also, save yourself a lot of hassle by taking this wiring harness and the wiring that comes with your radio to a local radio store and have them wire the two together for like $20. Trust me, it's worth it.Also, we found this video to be extremely helpful as to how to disassemble the dash:[...](copy all and paste into your browser)We used the the metal housing that came with the radio as opposed to the brackets that came with this DIN unit. It seemed to work out better for our model of radio.Overall, the DIN unit fits and works perfectly. Hope this helps!

This worked perfectly in my 2005 Toyota Corolla. It goes right with the car and makes the radio look perfect. It puts a 1-DIN radio in a 2-DIN space, and bevels right with the Toyota design making it look kind of like an original design rather than an add-on. The only thing that I would have added to their design if I had had the chance is instructions for the car model it is designed for. While it is easy to find various versions of directions for the Toyota Corolla on the internet, there is no way to know the quality of the instructions you find. The radio that I bought had a service for looking up various car models' directions online, but then, in the end, that database was incomplete, and I had to rely on one of the high school kid's postings found with Google. Since this dash kit is made specificially for that car model, this is the most logical part with which to include the directions. Oh, by the way, I will give you the directions, here:Disconnect the battery just to be extra safe. (Some people cite airbag accidental release problems, but I do not think that that is a risk.) Carefully pry off the shifter cover. It takes only steady pressure. Disconnect the cigarette lighter/charger to get the panel out of the way. Remove the center A/C knob, and remove the screw. Then pry off the clock A/C cover. Again, slow steady pressure. Pry off the radio cover. You guessed it: slow steady pressure. The radio is secured with 4 hex screws, 10mm if I recall correctly. They are deep, so you need a long hex driver (and maybe a magnet). They fall and get lost easily. If they do, you might be able to find them on the carpet or by reaching back around things. The dash kit comes with instructions for mounting it on the radio. You should strongly consider a wire harness . It makes it easy to disconnect the radio, later. After the radio is tested, reverse the operations, above. Good luck!
