Things wicked awesome. Love using a wooden handle and the metal is sturdy enough to get under the vinyl siding.

When I had my home re-sided in 2016, I saved a LOT of excess siding pieces both original length and short pieces. I have trees in my yard. Trees + wind = siding damage. The siding company gets $125 just to show up. For $10, I bought this siding removal (and installation) tool. It works great.I had 4 pieces of damaged siding from the trees from an 80mph wind storm. The damaged pieces were about 4 feet long. This siding tool was helpful in separating the damaged pieces. It was equally helpful in installing the replacement pieces because you need to pull down on the siding pieces to get them to interlock. It's a job best done in warmer weather - like 60+ degrees. Hope that helps!

Best tool for doing siding. Your local Home Depot tool for siding is too bulky.

This tool is not going to be a miracle tool. But, it does work. The biggest drawback is you almost have to start near an end of the siding, especially if the siding is stretched fairly snug. The issue is, if you have to start near an end, you can just as easily use a flat blade screwdriver or any thin flat tool. The biggest benefit I've seen is when working in front of a customer (the homeowner), it just looks better to have the proper tool for the job.

Does not work nearly as well as Inexpected. Seems easier to use screwdrivers. This item will not grab the lip like it should.
