I just got a walk-in shower and I wanted something to either sit on or put my feet up onto to shave my legs and this is perfect. It goes from about 17 to 29 inches so it expands it was easy to put together it made of teak wood and it’s beautiful. And it has any grip suction cups on the bottom.

Solid Bathroom Bench with Some Assembly ChallengesThe Montex Bathroom Bench is a well-designed and sturdy product that looks great once assembled. It comes well-packaged, with a smooth finish and durable paint that suggest it will hold up over time.However, the assembly process is not the most convenient. The screws have been shortened from a different length, and the threading isn’t perfect. While this isn’t visible in the final product, it can be an issue during installation—if just one screw doesn’t go in properly (as happened in my case), the threading can get damaged. Additionally, the package includes only one screwdriver and an Allen key, but assembling the bench requires two screwdrivers, which adds some frustration. A simple solution could have been to design one side of the Allen key with a head that fits the screw, which would have resolved this issue.That said, once assembled, the bench is stable and aesthetically pleasing. If you’re prepared for a slightly tricky assembly, it’s a solid choice.

This is an extendable wood bench. One side pulls out to expand it and then can be pushed back in for storage. It is rated to hold 300 pounds. This was a challenge to assemble as there is only a diagram. The diagram shows that all three legs are the same, but they are not and must be matched to the correct position. There are two allen screws and the allen wrench is included. The other end of the wrench is a Phillips screwdriver. To assemble the other legs to the bench you need to take two part furniture nut connecters. That is one side is a screw and the other is a tube the screw fits into. You have to get them just right for it to work, and hold the legs, so it's awkward to manage. We had one bad screw, so we will have to get a replacement for that as no extras were included. The other part was the finish on the bench is poor. It looks like they spray finish it after it's assembled and there are sections with no finish at all and some areas where they've repaired poorly. This bench is a nice idea, but not worth the price it's on offer for.

The Montex Adjustable Shower Bench for $55 is very affordable compared to having someone build a bench into your shower. It is made of solid wood which is water resistant. Its single or double width design makes it versatile and convenient for either seating width. Since it is portable, it can also be used in other areas of the house since it is portable. This is definitely a versatile bench to own.

Wanted a bench for the shower so that my elderly mother could sit on while showering. This bench broke just two days after being assembled. It’s advertised to support up to 300 lbs, but it collapsed under my 200 lb mother processing return asap.

This is an expanding shower bench.. There are a bunch of plusses.. It is light, it easily expands from 17" wide to 29" wide, it has a nice little shelf for shampoo or soap. It is cute..and the seller claims that it will hold up to 300lbs. This little bench is nice enough to put in a hallway as a shoe bench.. The height is ok.. 15" is slightly low for a bench, but it isn't a problem.. The issue I had was the assembly. I do furniture kits all the time.. I usually enjoy putting stuff together, but this.. this was something of a challenge..It uses a strange pin and screw connector. You drop a pin, with a hollowed out end, and then insert a bolt from the bottom, push it up and it is supposed to screw into the pin. This took me almost an hour to complete, it should have gone much faster. The kit includes a little screw driver, and a hex wrench.. so you don't need any tools. The hex wrench has a phillips screwdriver end, so only one end of the wrench can be used for the hex bolt.. I would have given this five starts, but the hardware was awkward. It does work.. it just takes a bit to figure it out.. And now that the bench is finished, I really like it.Quick update.. my husband liked this so much he decided to put it out on our balcony, as a little side table to hold a speaker. He is fussy, so you know he thinks this is good looking.

Super functional. I am using it as a good looking seat next to the front door. It fits perfectly under the entry table and then it can be easily pulled out to put on tennis shoes and then slid back under. I did not have any issues putting it together.

While this adjustable bench looks nice it has some serious drawbacks. The instructions are basically one illustration and are not particularly helpful. Thankfully the bench consists of only 5 pieces plus hardware so after a little trial and error it managed to come together. The listing doesn't give any indication of what type of wood the bench is made from and I'm doubtful it will hold up in a wet environment for very long. The clear coating on the wood is thin when applied. I write where applied because it appears to have been sprayed on after parts were assembled which caused a section on the underside to be unprotected. The bench feels sturdy enough for me to sit on and slides to various widths OK.
