The product was an exact match to the existing fan clutch! It performs just as expected!

Not worth the extra money but matches identical to factory. Failed after short use

Put it in and the fan clutch works like it supposed to always go OEM if you can aftermarket parts either don’t work right or you have to modify it to work.

It does not look like an original part compared to the advertised picture.

I bought a aftermarket fan clutch which stated “it meets or exceeds OEM parts”. Plus it said was made in the USA. So after a month of driving I noticed that the aftermarket market fan clutch was always engaged. After removing it I noticed it said made in Korea. After being tired of the constant roar I decided to go with the OEM part, Motorcraft. After installing the OEM my truck sounded like it’s old self. It keep my engine temps lower than the aftermarket one.

I had my mechanic replace my fan clutch twice because it sounded super loud all the time. Each time I was having him put in a clutch from my local auto parts store (autozone/ o’reilly). I’m not speaking bad about them or their products but I never got a quiet Ranger.. it sounded as if it was engaged all the time and super loud. I finally did some research and found out that this is the OEM brand that Ford intended to use. I purchased and received it very quickly. After installing it myself, with minimal tools, and a couple hours (in the dark) I was able to finish the job. To my surprise, the fan clutch was finally quiet! It runs like it’s suppose to, got back power to my truck, and it makes my truck sound way better! Would recommend to everyone in need. Also, I will return to purchase all future needed fan clutches from here. Thanks!

I previously had replaced the fan clutch on my 2002 Ford Range (3.0 L) with an aftermarket (non-motorcraft) fan clutch. It worked alright but my truck felt a bit off with it and the new fan clutch was LOUD. I almost felt like my truck was wheezing when the fan clutch kicked in. I replaced the aftermarket fan clutch with this Motorcraft part (which is the Ford recommended part) and it works great and is much quieter. I'd highly recommend this one for a 2002 Ford Ranger 3.0. :D

Ordered & it was on my doorstep in less than 48 hours. The fan clutch was brand new & in the original packaging.Installation took approx 15 minutes in my driveway. Afterwards I started the truck up, and it ran perfectly. No issues! Some tips :1. Use a 22mm wrench & a hammer to "break free" the old fan clutch. You do this by LEAVING the serpentine belt on, putting the wrench on the fan clutch, and whacking the wrench CLOCKWISE (left hand threads....clockwise loosens it). You may have to take the wrench off & re-adjust it a few times until it is free. I will hit the wrench when it is at the "1 o'clock" position.2. Unbolt the fan shroud & leave in place until the clutch has been removed from the water pump.3. Only use the wrench to "break free" the initial torque. After that, simply spin the fan clutch off of the water pump by turning the fan clockwise.4. Remove the 4 10mm bolts that hold the fan onto the old fan clutch, seperate the fan & old fan clutch, install the old fan w/the new fan clutch (using the old 10mm bolts).4. Installation is the reverse...spin it counter-clockwise until it stops, then put the 22mm wrench on it & whack the wrench COUNTER-CLOCKWISE a few times with a hammer to tighten. When tightening, I put the wrench in the "11 o'clock" position.5. Install the 2 fan shroud bolts.YOUR DONE!WoodstockVA
