I'm not sure how effective this is in the long run, but it does lock onto the handlebars and stops the bike from moving. The lock seems solid and the materials are durable.

This is a fantastic lock because it is small, lightweight, easy to use, and effective! This lock will work with dirt bikes, street bikes, mopeds, scooters, mini bikes, and even quads. It works by keeping the brakes engaged so that no one can roll your bike away. You simply put one section over the handlebars, engage the brake, closing the other section over that, and then simply pushing down the spring loaded lock button to engage the lock. This will keep the brakes engaged locking up the wheel so that no one can simply roll your bike away. It also comes with protective covers for both your handlebars and brake levers, as well as a variety of shims to make it work with any bike. It also comes with a very convenient carrying case which you can carry on yourself with your belt or strap to your bike. This is much more convenient than having to lug around big motorcycle lock or chain. Highly recommend! 👍👍
