I used four of these push-pull pots to make a Jimmy Page mod out of a cheap Ibanez. They have held up well after more than a year of use. However, I have heard some techs wanting to avoid push-pulls because they tend to have problems. I think it has something to do with the high temperature required for lead free solders that makes them fail. I used 60/40 solder with an old soldering iron that I've had for 25 years. When I play with the guitar, I mess with all of the pots quite frequently. No problems at all.

I ordered the MusicLily 2 pack of B250k push pull pots to do a custom wiring job on a 2010 Oscar Schmidt OE-30 guitar, one push pull to wire in a half-out-of-phase between the bridge and neck pickups, and the other to wire the bridge and neck pickups in series. The 250k pot value measured 254kohms on one, and 246kohms on the second pot, both within 2% +/- tolerance. The switch functions also metered correctly, and the pot wiper action and switch pull are both very tight, not loose, so I am happy with this purchase, great value for a great price.

Pots feal a little scratchy when turning, and they have little resistance. It's not a big deal though, since more expensive pots often have the same issues. The resistance thing is subjective, so I'm not taking away a star for that. Hopefully they won't fail during a gig (I had a problem, but suspect that was due to the switch in my guitar). Great for inexpensive guitars, but for high end guitars you might be better of with those bigger push pulls pots, if they fit.

I chose these over the Bournes DPDT pots because of the brass stems. Used both of them in separate projects and they both worked fine. Both pots were very close to 500k according to my multi-meter.

One thing of note, the pot on either end of the rotation sort of rolls itself back a touch. Like instead of rolling to "10" and it stopping and staying put, it presses itself back to about a 9.7. Same with "0", it presses itself back to about a .3The switching mechanism seems to work fine, the pots are otherwise 'cheap' feeling - more-so than the OE switched pot that came with the guitar (SE Custom 24); in all, these feel a bit like a downgrade, but I wanted to get a pair of pots to try out rewiring the guitar to have separate split coils like the 24-08; using the volume pot as a pull to split the neck pickup, and the tone pot to split the bridge pickup. This does do the job, but I wonder if I'd have better results otherwise. Not enough to do anything about it, but some day I'll get the itch and swap these for something else.

These push/pull pots technically fit in import guitars, but they're a total nightmare to work with. I saw reviews about the tiny contacts, and I thought, "Eh, I can solder." I was wrong. These things are ridiculously small and flimsy. The DPDT switch terminals are an absolute joke. Soldering to them is like trying to weld hair. I literally had to rig up little wire "tails" using Cat 5 cable just to get a decent connection – talk about a waste of time. The pot lugs aren't much better; they bend if you even look at them wrong, so good luck if you ever need to adjust anything later.Pros:They fit in tight spaces (barely). The push/pull does work (when you actually manage to wire it up).Cons:Soldering Hell: The terminals and lugs are so tiny and cheap they're practically impossible to solder to.Fragile AF: The lugs are super flimsy and bend way too easily. They're basically begging to break from metal fatigue.Scratchy Pots: On top of everything else, the pots are scratchy. Seriously?Bottom Line:These pots are a complete waste of money and a massive headache. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars on something that isn't made of tin foil.

These potentiometers work fine. I used them in my Squire Affinity Stratocaster - note that due to the height of this potentiometer you will likely need to make the Squire Affinity control cavity deeper with a router. If installing into a different guitar, be sure to measure your cavity depth as these switches are fairly tall. Both 250k potentiometers that came in this pack feel scratchy and very cheap when you turn them. It's a real shame because Musiclily's own 500k push-pull pots feel excellent, so I don't know why the 250k pots feel inferior. The pots adjust the guitar tone as expected and the push-pull switch works nicely. It just seems to be the potentiometer part that is not great. I'm not convinced of the durability of the 250k version that I received.I probably just got a bad batch because the 500k version that I ordered before was perfect and I paid the same amount for them... But based on what I received, I'm giving the 250k pots 3 stars.

I've ordered a dozen of these by now. All my guitars get them. They always work great, sound great, and I haven't had an issue yet. The pots feel really nice when you turn it. No scratching and they're not super loose like some others.
