Many times, flats are caused by the rims, specifically the lack of protection from the rims sharp edges. Good Rim Strips didn’t exist for BMX rims. Our wheels came with some of the best and widest Rims Strips around, so eventually we decided to make them available to everyone. They work well and improve the function of any 20 inch rim. You have to work these over the rim slowly. They don't have much stretch, but there is enough if you work the stretch over the entire length. Once over the rim, they fit nice and snug and are great protection.

Admittedly I haven't used lots of different rim strips. I always just used whatever thing was on the wheel already. And that has never actually been a good idea with high pressure tires. I now have these and wouldn't use any others. They're hard as hell to get on but once in place I don't think you could ask for a better rim strip.

I got these for a bike trailer wheel that came with thin rim tape, and caused a puncher in the tube. These are thicker, wider and made a world of difference. Now I don't have to worry about getting punchers from the wheel spokes.

thought it was 8$ for one, comes in a pack of two super nice thoughof course they're hard to put on and a tire lever won't help you most likely as they're to thick. what worked for me was a park tool brake caliper wedge im sure a flathead would work to though (for repositioning it) if its off the valve hole a little bit after initially putting it on..

These rim bands are made of quality materials and workmanship. They fit VERY tightly over the rim so take your time to install them correctly.
