The label stuck on the box says it is for 220 volts ac. The bottom of the unit says 220 volts ac.However the instructions that came with the unit says 120 volts and/or 127 volts ac only.Contradicting information.I am going to try using it on 220 Volts ac like it is stated on the unit. Will update after using. Really hope it works.

It has a European plug-in so does not work in sockets in US and Mexico. Beware to buyer. Unfortunately, I had to donate it to charity.

If u are from Asia, this electronic can opener is THE BEST.Coming from Asia, we seldom get to find electronic can openers around because we are brought up with using manual onesI am really really loving this. It is easy to use, cuts well and so far the magnet can support the weight of the cans . Being Asian, I always have my hand underneath it as standby just in case the can drops. But as of now everything works well and the can doesn't drop. Hooray.

Wasn't made to be used in US. Had to be returned. I purchased a similar one with a US plug and it works fine.

It works well in Asia. Bigger and heavier cans need a bit of help since the magnet can't hold them up but that's expected.

Until now I had only used my manual can opener, until I try decididí electric one. I chose this, Oster brand in which I am very confident because she been in my family forever in different appliances, and was really pleased with opener so easy to use. The removable piece of cut is very easy to remove and clean after each use. I will buy another gift for some friends and they will love it!
