I picked up this bluetooth speaker pair, to use under my covered patio. The speakers are fairly compact, and while they do have a touch of weight to the them, they are far from heavy. Most of the weight comes, I suspect, from the thick plastic casing of these speakers. They are well-made and water resistant- though they're not recommended for placement in direct streams of water. The included mounting brackets are light-weight metal, and feature side-mounted thumb screws which allow for pivoting the speaker up and down... or left and right, depending on how you choose to mount them (horizontal or vertical). These speakers are NOT battery-powered, however. They come with wall wart-type power supplies (one for each speaker), that include acceptable-length cables (approximately 6-feet, each), with water-tight connectors. Honestly, I would've liked to see longer power cable runs... With only a 6-foot tether, one quickly finds speaker placement will become highly-influenced by relationship to available power. Sure, you could use and extension cord... but unless you're willing to invest is expensive cables with sealed enclosures for power connections, being forced to use an extension cord practically defeats the purpose of the fancy screw-on, water-tight power connectors on the speakers, themselves. At any rate, the speakers are easy to mount, and all mounting hardware (yes, even screws) is included. Functionally, these speakers operate in a alpha - beta relationship. Up to 100 of these speakers can be connected together, where the first speaker (the alpha) is connected to the transmitting device (your phone, tablet, BT transmitter, etc.), then all other speakers connect to the alpha, as betas. The manufacturer claims up to 80-feet line of sight functional range between speakers, or between the alpha and the TX device. All speakers have function control buttons such as play/pause, track advance and system volume (volume affects all speakers globally, not individual stations). It is important to note that, although there are two speakers in this kit, and up to 100 can be "daisy-chained", this is NOT a TWS system... it's more "PA"-like. 'TWA' stands for "True Wireless Stereo", and this speaker system is NOT stereo. Each speaker in this system receives both channels of audio, summed into a mono output. Whether you have one speaker, ten, or all one hundred, there is no stereo effect at all... A fact I think the manufacturer should clearly explain. Technically, it's in the name: Networking Speaker"... But how many would know that, that means this operates more like a "distributed line" or "70/100-volt" PA speaker system? The take-away here is: If stereo sound is a 'make or break' issue for you, look elsewhere for your outdoor audio needs. Sound quality is fairly good... There is plenty of mid-range, reasonable high-frequency response, and- at higher volumes, an identifiable bass presence. These speakers don't produce deep bass, at all. It's just enough low-end to present full-range sound, but I wouldn't characterize this as "Hi-Fi" sound. Overall, these speakers are ideally-suited to commercial applications, where a large area of coverage is desirable, and lack of stereo isn't an issue. Restaurants, hotels, office complexes- most any place of business would be a perfect fit for these bluetooth speakers, as overall they are very nice- for the right application.

My husbands new favorite thing, we had them hooked up to the tv and they worked great for it but then my husband would take one and connect his phone to it outside to listen to music leaving the other plugged in inside so then I would wake up to blaring music next to the bed. Oh and by the way it stays connected farther than it says it does and through exterior house walls. I have to unplug the one that stays in our room when he takes the main one outside or else I’ll hear his music.
