Works pretty well but had a problem setting up the new combination. I trying to swing the hook I inadvertently clicked one of the numbers with my handling. Then trying to figure which number was moved from the 0000 was quite a problem but got thru.

can't judge durability as I've used this lock only a short time. So far it's very nice. Seems hefty, sturdy, well made. It works smoothly. Far more convenient than the dial type Master lock for my gate. Easy to set a combination if you follow the direction closely. Can just move a dial or two to lock it, making reopening quick and easy with no sacrifice to security. Operation has been smooth and consistent. Very pleased.

These are good, well built locks. They are quite heavy which means they are solid. When changing the combination to my own number, the dials were a bit tight. I sprayed some silicon lubricant inside the lock and everything worked fine. These are advertised as suitable for outdoors which is where I am using them. Time will tell how well they hold up but I think a little silicon spray periodically should help.

UPDATE: JUNK or I got bad ones! I just had to cut the second lock off as it too had failed to open with the proper combination entered.I bought these to secure my generator and propane tanks at our cabin in the woods. Had them for about 5 weeks and have had no problems until today. The lock on my generator house would not open. No matter how many times I set the numbers to my combination, it would not open. I had to drive 13 miles through the woods to borrow a hacksaw. A 6 year old kid could have cut through the shackle with a hacksaw.......it was that easy!These look good but they do not offer much security and they oviously do not hold up to even light usage. I will pay more for my next ones and they will be a name brand..

Worked as advertised, with no problems. The dials could be a little "tighter" and smoother in operation, but they worked fine. Seem to be solidly made (not flimsy sheet metal). Shackle appears to be hardened steel.I did notice that the locking mechanism looks a little bit flimsy - just a little tab on the shackle, but probably sufficient. If someone is determined enough they could get through any gym padlock anyway, or just take a crowbar to the locker door.
