If you’re replacing this yourself and don’t want to remove half of your rear end, it’s a real mf’er to replace, but it can be done, and the part works perfectly. Plus it beats $100 at the auto parts store for the part or $500 at the CHEVY dealership for the labor.

It fits good but it was the biggest pain in the ass to change on a 2010 camaro v6. If your check engine light came on and it says evap solenoid most likely this is your problem and instead of spending close to $1000 at the dealer you can do it yourself with some basic hand tools from harbor freight but plan on spending hours to get it done.

OEM GM part fit perfectly and works perfectly. Cleared fault code P0409 and learned not to "top off" your gas tank because sloshing gasoline from a really full tank can enter the vent tube and cause premature failure of this valve if gasoline flows down the vent tube into the valve (when the gas pump stops filling, just round up to the nearest buck and stop...don't keep filling until the neck is full). It takes 3.5 person hours to drop the rear end carriage of the car to get to this part located on a metal tab above the rear end pumpkin (GM Engineering gets a gold star for this stupid location and money maker for dealerships). I was lucky to take my car to a tire/mechanic place and they put two guys on the job and charged me just $280 in labor and I furnished the part. They tried using skinny arms to reach up under the car to the valve, but it's held on the metal tab by a plastic spring clip which made it too hard to remove, so they dropped the rear carriage as GM book says, replaced part in 1 minute (cause you can then easily release the clip) and reassembled the rear carriage to the car. You don't need a 4 wheel alignment afterwards either, so don't let someone talk you into it needing to be done. Good luck, shop around for labor, there are not very many bolts, just a big, heavy & stupidly time consuming job.
