As far as an expensive mics go this is one of the best. It does the job, especially for just plain speech and even for a dynamic mic it's pretty bright, it also has an on-off switch. It's well built and can take a beating. Now how does it sound? "Average" is about the best I can say for it. It certainly doesn't sound like a more expensive mic. You might want to spend a little more and get an SM48 from Shure or even a Behringer XM8500, but neither of those come with an on-off switch. If the switch is what you need then this is the mic to get--especially if all you're going to do is talk through it. For music and vocals? No. For music applications, I wouldn't use this microphone. It's a very specific mic for a very specific use: for spoken word. Now let's see you run a recovery meeting and you are doing an in-person thing and you want to amplify your voice, this is a great choice because if somebody swipes it it's not expensive to replace. Now let's say you have a cheap interface and you want to use it as a zoom mic. It's also great for that. Just make sure you get a mic screen for it or you're going to be super sibilant and pretty plosive. But that's true for pretty much every dynamic mic out there. In short, this is a good deal because if it wasn't I would tell you that it wasn't. I've written enough reviews, know what I mean? 🤘👍😉

Bought this to put out for karaoke use , something it is ideal for . I have a better mic for dj use , but these are well made and sound great for the money .

I am a pro musician and my voice sounds best with a Peavey mic. It has been dropped a few times and still works like new.

It is a bass heavy mic. The proximity effect will be more pronounced so you will need to eq out the low end.

I'm no expert when it comes to mics, but this mic was not worth the $25! I guess the chord and the mic holder are about the only things this mic has for it. It looks like the Shure lower ends would have been a better investment. I'd reconsider if you're thinking about this one.
