Says it fits a 4x4 post (3.5 actual) bit it's actually a 3 7/8 opening and will not work. Unfortunately I found this out after the refund period was up. So bummed.

The pergola looks great. And is very strong. The screws are cheap. Use your own exterior screws.

Just finished using these with 8 pressure treated 4x4s. First the screws are VERY easy to strip the heads on. I ended up buying a set of 5 phillips bits for my drill to get me through it. Fortunately, I had a dozen other deck screws to replace the ones that messed up.Second, if you doing this, you will need help to lifts those boards in the air. My wife and I didn't have any, so I ended up assembling the top on the ground, and then using a block and tackle to lift it up a side at a time to up in the uprights. Took us two days!

My husband used these to build a pergola type structure on our deck. No issues. Worked great. I would by from this vendor again if the option occurs itself.

The value for the money is 10/10! The size of the product is perfect. The build quality is better than the ready made ones because you can pick your own wood. The ease of installation was wonderful if you have some strong back up to lift and hold things. Three of us built it with ease. The functionality of this piece is very impressive and so affordable!

Standard 4x4 was a little small but it still came together very nicely. I ordered them again to create another one.
