After months of searching and comparing various bike racks, I decided to go with the Polestar Hitch Bike Rack, and I'm absolutely thrilled with my choice. I've used it for several trips now, ranging from local rides to longer hauls, and it has performed spectacularly well. The assembly process was straightforward, with clear instructions that made it a breeze to set up right out of the box. What I appreciate most is the robust construction of the rack. It feels very secure and stable, even when loaded with multiple bikes. This peace of mind is invaluable, especially when navigating bumpy roads. As for its value for money, I believe it's an excellent investment.

Heavy duty, durable bike mount -- that's exactly what this is. This bike mount installed easily on a '21 4Runner and feels incredibly solid. The bike mount sticks out far enough (roughly 36-38") and is strong enough to hold 2 e-bikes that are about 70 lbs each.The really cool part of this bike rack is that it can tilt, enabling you to be able to access the hatchback/cargo area without needing to remove the rack. That's a HUGE convenience! So far, we've only done a test run of the rack/bikes and haven't traveled with the bikes on the rack yet (it's not e-biking weather quite yet), so I will update if there are any issues with that, but I truly don't think there will be. The company provided tie down straps & the bikes feel very stable.This rack was also pretty easy to put together and took roughly 30 minutes or so.Overall, 10/10 -- highly recommend this awesome rack!

To be honest with you, this bike rack has a great and sturdy frame, but bike holders are very weak. There is not much of assembly needs and installation is very easy which fits on 2 inch reciever. The amount of weight that could be handled with this rack is very impressive and I only put my e bikes. Holders needs improvement.

First things first: it comes completely unassembled, so you will have to spend some time putting it together. This isn’t a complicated process and the instructions are good. It goes together in about 20 minutes with a crescent wrench and the included allen keys.It’s not a lightweight rack, which is good. You don’t want a lightweight rack. This one is made from thick steel. 2” hitch mount with a locking pin. The various parts slide easily, and lock into place smoothly.It has a max weight capacity of 200lbs, so your heavy e-bikes will be no problem. The supports lock into place easily. It has a special key that fits into the clamp portion to lock the bikes into place for when you walk away from your vehicle.All in all, for the asking price this is a great value rack with a good weight capacity.

I’ve had a similar rack used with my mountain bikes for years but when I tried to use it with my electric bike the fat tires wouldn’t fit the tracks and it felt too flimsy. Electric bikes are MUCH heavier than regular bikes. This thing is a beast! Heavy duty hardware. Bolts securely to the hitch receiver. Easily adjustable for different size bikes. It comes with 6 cam lock straps but the center locking system holds the bikes so securely I think they are just for peace of mind. Going slowly it took me less than an hour to assemble, secure to my truck and load the two bikes. It will help if you have 17mm and 24mm sockets but just an adjustable wrench will work. I’m going to use the heck out of this thing this summer! Good price as well.

I'm very pleased with this bike rack. My son and I like to ride along the beach, now we can put both bikes on the back of the tow hitch without taking up any space in the back of the truck. The instructions were easy to follow and it took roughly 30 minutes to put together. Our bikes are fairly small and don't weigh very much so this bike rack held them sturdy with hardly any movement while driving. It has arms that slide up and down the center shaft that can lock the bike for security. Also comes with 6 tie straps to hold the bikes firmly to both tires and seat post so there is no movement of bikes while they are on the bike rack. It has plenty of space between the body of the vehicle and the rack. I can open my tailgate with no problem while the rack is mounted on my truck. It also has a tilt option to give you more room if you need it. Great value for this bike rack that also folds up and has a nice solid hook at the top to hang in your garage and will take up minimal space.

This is really heavy duty and strong. It sticks out about 38” from the back of my MDX. This means I can open the rear hatch while it is attached and not have to remove this bike rack. It can be folded into several storage positions. It is kinda heavy when installing. It comes with the Allen wrenches to tighten the bolts, but you will need an open end wrench to hold the lock nuts. My only assembly complaint is that the pieces could be labeled or numbered for easier assembly, but it is really not that difficult. It took about 30 minutes to put it together. Also, make sure the little triangle lock are unlocked before putting it together. I scratched the paint because it wasn’t unlocked.
