I’m very happy with these. The fourth set of 12AU7’s in my Primaluna pre amp within the last year.The sound is very nice and full. And smoother too. I’m listening a lot more and longer than before installing these. My system seems to be communicating more and seems less forced. I wish that I had tried these earlier. I am happy to recommend them.

I wasn’t sure I received the correct product. The tubes, and boxes had no markings indicating they were the Horizon tubes. I believe they are, in fact, the right product based on the appearance of the internal structure. It took some burn in time to get them sounding their best. The highs, and midrange are beautiful. The bass is a little less defined than my Mueller tubes but is present after burn in. I am using these in a Douk Audio T8 Pro preamp/equalizer. These tubes have less gain than the tubes that came with the unit. I have to turn up the volume on my amp approximately 10 clicks to attain the same volume. The tubes that came with the equalizer must have been hotter because my Mueller Tubes also have less gain than the originals. I’m satisfied with the sound for the price. Good tubes.

Very quiet and nice sounding tubes in my Elekit TU 8200 . Ive tried many nos and new 12au7's in this amp and these will stay until they grow tired.

Installed in my Prima Luna integrated in place of some very pricy NOS. Soundstage and imaging improved noticeably. Highly recommended.

I've been using the Horizon 12AU7 tubes for about six months now in a variety of hifi tube buffers, preamps and power amps. Always skeptical about new production tubes, I have to say I'm really impressed with the sound of these tubes and their reliability so far. They present a toneful, vivid, energetic but nicely balanced musical experience. If you love the sound of vacuum tubes you owe it to yourself to give these a try. Just let them burn-in for several hours, then sit back and enjoy.

Very nice valves, no 'wind' noise but maybe just a little too forward on some things like trumpets etc.Update. I got wind noise. Out they came.

I bought these and the EL84 for my Drop/XDuoo TA-84. I tried them with a pair of HD 6xx, Can Mods and Dekoni Elite Hybrid mods. My impressions: Clean, very clean. top is there in spades. However, just like their Art series the bottom end is boring, it's there but ever so hohum. With HD6xx it just doesn't work. I took them back out fairly soon after.

This is frankly the best overall sounding 12AU7 I have had the pleasure of using. Very balanced sounding-top to bottom-but supremely musical, with all the textures/tonality, harmonic's one could hope for-with out being tilted in any direction. Used in a Prima Luna Prologue Premium power amp-center 2 positions. Just ordered a set for my Evo 300 power amp. a steal at these prices!

Got these on a lark for my Atma-Sphere Mp-3 mk3.3 preamplifier. They replaced a set of Psvane Art series which I never quite warmed up to - it has an exaggerated bass response and a somewhat recessed midrange which is quite contrary to my preference. The top end seems a trifle recessed as well. These Horizons OTOH are supremely balanced, coherent and have a rightness to them. The pair I have are dead quiet. I just ordered a set of Apos Ray Select that cost nearly four times as much - curious to see how those are relative to these Horizons. Also, on the strength of the performance of the 12AU7 I ordered a pair of Horizon 6SN7 - if those are as good as these 12 AU7s, they would be another bargain. Highly recommended!
