I was looking for and an inexpensive alternative to kite paper, and this works great.It has to be cut, and is a bit thinner and has some static, but I have enough for all my students and don't have to be pervious with it. I was able to cut it carefully with a sharp paper cutter.

Thin, cheap AND the color came off on our food. Certainly would not recommend if you are trying to use these for food.

I purchased this to see if it would be a suitable, less expensive substitute for kite paper used for making window stars/decorations. It’s slightly lighter weight than kite paper, slightly heavier than tissue paper. This makes it slightly harder to fold but still works really nicely for this craft. Holds folded edges well. I cannot tell a difference in the finished product. I laminate them anyways so the weight really didn’t matter in the end. Given that there are 1040 12” sq sheets in this pack, it’s a way better deal than kite paper. The colors are vibrant and different than kite paper giving an even wider color palette. Also worked really well for making paper rose windows. Very happy with the purchase.
