I put these on my '97 Ford Explorer and the ride was an instant improvement. They were not that much trouble to install, plus all the needed parts were included.

Replaced the shocks on my 2000 explorer because one of them was going bad. I plan to keep this car for a while, so I decided to buy top quality. I do a fair amount of travel on forest service roads of varying quality during the summer, so I thought the adjustable feature would be nice to have. So far I have only used them on paved roads, and have them set at 5. The difference between these and the old shocks is huge. The ride is much better, it's both smooth and tight ( I know that seems contradictory, but I can't think of a better description). I don't feel every rock in the road, and potholes don't send me through the roof, but it doesn't feel like I'm in a boat.I'm gong to get the remote control so I don't have to get out of the car to change the shock settings when I hit the forests this summer, and will report back then.

Great shock, great price... I couldn't be happier. I installed them on my 2002 Explorer Sport Trac, and teh ride is excellent, They installed easily in my driveway, and the $100 Rancho rebate sweetened the deal.
