Pretty color, but does not hold up to daily use. Seams break easily.

I am using these plastic envelopes to store file folders with important paperwork in my safe. Very handy and convenient.

Very stiff and thick. Not flexible or easy to work with.

There are a dozen top-loading envelopes in the package and they are 9.5" x 12.75". There is a convenient tie-close. I wish one end of the tie close cord was affixed rather than having both ends loose, but I'm guessing that gives a little more flexibility for closing depending on depth of contents. The squared off bottom of each envelope is a bit over 1" so there's quite a bit of capacity. The plastic used is see-through, so everything is visible and labeling can easily be applied if desired. Being plastic, these envelopes are waterproof so whatever is inside is protected and the plastic appears adequately durable. I can see many uses for these envelopes in my office and in my craft room.

When I saw these on Amazon I thought this would be a good replacement for the name brand plastic folders that I get at a big box office supply store. They came packaged together in plastic, as usual, but when I opened them and took them out, I saw these would not work. As I unwound the string to open the folders, on every single one, the string came off. It's just been looped on the two pegs, not attached or tied in any way. This renders these useless for me, as I am not going to try to glue or staple the tie on. Also, when you open the folders up, there are random attached pieces of plastic stuck in the seams. So, if you try to push a piece of paper in the folder, it will hit the plastic piece and crumple. If you aren't going to need to securely close these folders, or put any thing like paper in them, they may work for you. For me, they are useless.
