I thought my cat would love this scratcher since he usually loves all cardboard scratchers… I will give it time and try sprinkling cat nip on it, but so far he’s not into it. I wish cat nip was included, but it’s not. The cardboard inside does separate a bit and is not one solid piece… that could be why he’s not taking to it. I would go back to my cheaper scratcher from Target next time. I do love the graphics on the box though- that was cute.

Out of the box, my cats were curious about this new piece of cardboard in the house (as per usual). But they seem to have really claimed it as theirs after I noticed they were scratching the heck out of it, then lying on it moments later. Cats seem to find the oddest things to lie on and rest, and this is no exception. The scratcher is really nice looking and the corrugated cardboard inside is much sturdier than regular cardboard scratchers I typically find in stores. The dip design seems to bring one of my cats in more than the other, but it's likely just preference. Since placing this one down, I've found that they no longer want to use the smaller flat scratcher.I think this one is a winner in our book. They seem to really enjoy it, even if they are starting to use it more like a bed.
