I’ve seen and used previous versions of this solar fountain style in black. The blue is outstanding as it matches our ceramic bowl and looks better as a small fountain for our patio garden. The fountain came with usual water spray options but the extra clips and extenders were a welcome addition in this newer version. They’re not used in the photo but I’ll use them to help aim the fountain on the longest, sunniest spot. The extenders are thick, small plastic straws that can be easily cut to size.My other one lasted one year of daily use - about 3-4 seasons in the SF Bay Area. With these types of floating disk solar fountains, they do need to be in full sun to work. Any little shade from my plants as the sun changes or clouds will shut it off so the entire disk needs to be in the sun. But at a similar price point and functionality as others, having an improved build from previous versions (even if all black), color options and extenders makes them a standout - I highly recommend this fountain!

This is a new generation of solar floating water fountains. Substantially higher quality of past generations. First of all the panels are glass. The panel is about 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The optional tubes extend the diameter to about 14 1/2 inches and are easily trimmed (or extended with other material). The panel itself is powered at 3.5 W. The stated water head ranges from 1-2 feet but there are 8 variety of nozzles to modulate the pattern to accommodate your specific needs. There are additional filters (the instruction book calls them cotton) and there is a email address to ask questions if needed. One of the nozzles is perfect for a typically sized bird water fountain. The plastic rods keep it in the middle and the nozzle spay stays contained within the fountain. It's a great buy, especially for the price. It's good to see this second generation.

We have a bird bath out back and out cat loves to watch the birds through the window. So I decided to add this into the mix and make a little fountain. This works well at moving the water and making the fountain. It took a little while to figure the best location for the solar panel as that is the only way to power it. So with that said, this will not run at night, nor very well in less than optimal sunny weather. But it will turn you simple bird bath in to a nicer looking fountain that with the moving water, will be less of a breed ground for insects and other bacteria.I nice device.

This solar fountain works amazingly well! When the sun is shining, it produces a strong, powerful water spray, sometimes shooting higher than expected. I had to adjust the nozzle to control the height, but that’s a good problem to have! It functions exactly as advertised, running entirely on solar power with no need for batteries or wiring during the day.At night, the built-in light adds a nice touch, and the fountain continues to operate using its internal battery. However, it only lasts a few hours before running out of power. Despite that, it’s a fantastic addition to any garden or pond, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking to add a beautiful, eco-friendly water feature.

I own several similar solar fountains. This one is a basic unit that works by powering the pump directly from sunshine. It is a daytime only fountain. I like that it is pretty, compact, and produces a pleasing and strong water display. I found one of the downsides is that it lacks a low water turn off feature. If the water runs low and the sun is still shining on it the pump can run dry and be damaged.I like that it is very easy to use in any sunny location. Just place it in a bowl of water. It is important to know that it does not have a battery and lights for nighttime operation. Some similar fountains also display colored lights at night.

This is 3.5W, which is about what you want for a birdbath. I get one of these every couple of years and if you have one with less power, like a 1.5W or 2.0W, they just do not work as well, in my opinion. This fountain has a heavier weight than others I have had, feels more substantial. There are 7 different nozzles and some extra mesh for the filter. I like the fact that it has the extension "poles" to keep it centered in the birdbath. Otherwise, these things float to the side and all the water sprays out onto the ground and in short order, the birdbath is empty. The birds have loved the others I have had; the water stays cooler because it is circulating, and the birds enjoy it. Very quiet, all you hear is the water spray/trickle of the water.Once you get one of these, you will want more. I now have 3. They are so easy, place them anywhere there is sun. Note that these can be very sensitive and if its a cloudy day or you pass by and shadow the fountain, it will stop briefly. Just the nature of these things. You will really enjoy this fountain, the 3.5W is really the perfect birdbath power.

I ordered this to replace the same product that I bought a year ago (from a different brand though). It arrived fast, worked right out of the box, and was easy to set up. Regarding set up, I knew how to do this because of having the product in the past; trimmed the little straws that's included to only being like 1.5" long each so that it'll fit in my bird bath well, and by not putting one of the main nozzles on (if you do, it shoots all the water out of the bowl, but if you leave it off it just bubbles nicely). I'd recommend this product, they last a long time and stand up to all sorts of weather. The last one only eventually just quit because it was frozen several times due to the temperature, so it's internal components expanded/went back to normal.
