This alarm will save home owners a pile of money when their water heater starts leaking which most current water heaters only last 3-7 years depending on the quality and water type. As a retired manufactured home dealer, I highly recommend installing this to protect the floor under the water heater. The reason I mentioned this for manufactured homes (or any home with an enclosed WH compartment) is most water heater compartments are just large enough to house the WH, so I put 4 boards 3" high around the perimeter of the compartment and placed the sensor near the base of the water heater so when it starts to fail the water will collect in the perimeter and set off the alarm notifying the homeowner. This will really save the home owner because most MH's have particle board flooring and when they start to leak, the water will destroy the particle board which will need to be cut out and replaced & probably cost the homeowner twice what the water heater cost to replace. This is an excellent product that the only recommendation I could make would be to redesign the sensor slightly so it is not quite so bulky. Otherwise it's a good investment!

The Plumber working on our house said that our Tank alarm had quit working and suggested ordering this item by part number and installing it ourselves to avoid a rather expensive repair. Installing the new Sekelo Switch and Panel was really very easy. Once the float switch, that cycles the pump is tied off at the correct level, I checked that it operated at the correct water level a few times, then mounted the included Alarm Panel where the old one was. The new Sekelo Alarm will get you attention when it wails' - Quite Loud is an understatement! This would be a handy device to add to a Basement Sump Pump System too. Either way Sekelo did a fantastic job with the complete package - ready for installation, almost a Plug-N-Play Type Repair for us. I would definitely order another unit from Sekelo in a minute - it's that good. I gave the Sekelo High Water Alarm with 10ft Level Float Switch a Full Five Star Rating. It gets the job done and most certainly saved us a bundle of $$ in the long run.

This Sekelo High Water Alarm wants to be your basement's BFF - the kind of friend who screams to warn you about a plumbing catastrophe before your favorite area rug becomes a soggy shipwreck. This Sekelo High Water Alarm could be a budget-friendly way to avoid a flood in your basement, especially that it is easy to install and the alarm is loud enough for you. It works well for my well set up as a just in case add on to alert me if the system stays on.

This is a fairly well constructed sump pump alarm. There are no instructions included in the box but for most people you probably don't need any. It includes screws and anchors to mount the control box to a wall. The tricky part is mounting the little cylinder to the inside of the sump pump wall. The kit comes with 4 cable ties. What I ended up doing was tying the cylinder to the inlet pipe going into the sump. The float itself has to tilt about 45 degrees before the switch will activate. That meant I had to secure the cylinder about 6 inches lower than the point where I wanted the switch activated. It took a little trial and error to get it exactly where I wanted it. Plus, there's a little bit of slop to when the switch actually activates.All-in-all, a pretty decent sump pump switch.

I have a new septic system that uses a sump and over the years was never happy with the sump alarm as it either failed frequently or the alarm would periodically go off a not loud enough or would just fail to go off the untiI messed around with the test button. This the replacemenI I'd been looking for during the last few years. All the others I found were very expensive but poorly manufactured. This alarm comes completely assembled. Just attach the float to the sump pump discharge pipe so it goes off if the tank level gets too high. Hang the unit on a wall IA location where you frequent like a utility room, garage or pump room and plug it in. It's nice and loud, yet not too big or ugly. This unit gives me comfort owing if the sump pump fails, this alarm will notify us before it over flows and causes a nasty mess. This unit provides trust worthy protection!

When plugged in right out of the box, the float does not shut off the power unless I shake the heck out of the float. Only then will it trip the power supply. Not happy about that.
