What a great fan. I replaced my 35 year original 3" tiny fart fan with this one. What a difference. Install wasn't very difficult but i did have to use an extra screw as a wedge for the power wire cover to quiet it down. With that one screw, it is near silent.

Not as quiet as expected. It's better than what it replaced but it is definitely not silent. The verdict is out on quality but quietness is why et bought it.

Easy to install in old work situation with no attic access. Quiet you only hear the sound of the sur being sucked in. Old Broan fan was rated 110cfm and 4.0 sonnes. This unit moves more air effectively mirror doesn’t fog up at all since it’s been installed.Smart design with a flange around the edge of the unit to effectively seal off the room unlike broan/ nutone products on the market today. Designed more like a Panasonic at half the cost.

My house is around 20 years old, and the original Braun fans were getting old and noisy. Since I have existing construction and the four fans in my house are near impossible to get at due to their placement under decade's old insulation, I decided to purchase some replacement fans that could be replaced without having to get in the attic. The Tech Drive bathroom fan, at first glance, checked my boxes: I needed something easily installed, and I wanted something quieter than the jet engines that were the Brauns. They were about 20 dollars more expensive than the Brauns, but if they were quiet and easily installed, it would be worth it. I bought 4.The first two were installed without issue. The hardest part was having to partially disassemble the Tech Drive fans so they could be installed without having to get into the attic or crawl space. But I got them installed, turned them on, and glorious quiet! These fans are significantly quieter than the Braun fans I had before. Probably 1/3rd of the noise of the Brauns. My kids noticed immediately, they thought the new fan wasn't working because they couldn't hear it. With the Brauns, I could pretty much hear them running just about anywhere in the house. With the Tech Drive fans, I had to be right next to the door of the bathroom they were installed in. Super pleased.Went to install the third fan, and unfortunately, I was met with an issue. The little door that sits inside the plastic exhaust had broken off the pivot. I didn't notice until I got the fan installed and turned it on. It was really loud and I could feel air blowing back into the room from it. That's when I disassembled everything again and discovered the broken door. Bummer... Had to take the whole assembly down, box it back up, and return it. Fortunately I had the fourth fan, so I put it in instead and it worked fine. But now I'm short a fan. Amazon is awesome as usual and is sending me a replacement without a problem.Bottom line is, these fans are really nice. They are quiet and easy to install. My only issue was the broken exhaust door, and the reason why I left four stars instead of five.

This was super quiet. It took a bit to get it installed, but this time was all taking the old one out. The screws were in some hard to reach spots, so ended up cutting the old one out to get this in place.Totally worth the extra cost for the quieter fan, our last one was super noisy, and this one can't really be heard outside the bathroom.

I purchased two of these fans as an update from the noisy exhaust fans that were original to my home. I’m rating as a 4 star within my comment because strangely as it sounds they are extremely quiet which makes me question the effectiveness. It’s a preference too have a bit of noise especially for my half bath that is central to the hub of my home.

I bought this to replace my original bathroom light/fan. I went with a dedicated fan (no light) to get higher air flow. A larger fan can spin more slowly for less noise. It does the job well. It moves so much more air than the stock fan/light, was easy to install, and is fairly quiet. I of course had to mount a light separately since this is fan only, but now we don't have a humid bathroom. I only had to shave a little dry wall off to get this to fit in the stock cutout.

Needed to replace a Broan NuTone that I already replaced a few years ago. So needed to try something new. Prime Day pricing and my need led to the purchase. If you are replacing a Broan or NuTone, the old frame will need to come out. Pro Tip: Use tin snips to cut the sides so it can “collapse” to be removed. If you are installing this without attic or above access, you can cut the two protruding mounting tabs off, if not needed to make the install easier. Just drill holes in the side for wood screws to attach to the joist. Also, not this frame is slightly different size then B&N, about 1/2” wider on one side. This design is completely different then B&N, with a plastic housing that looks like a proper blower, and a DC motor with controller circuit board. This is probably what makes it so quiet. Pro Tip: B&N grilles may fit this once it’s been installed, they may help cover any drywall flaws. The flapper plastic nozzle is similar/same as B&N, down to the two clips that keep it in place, so I cleaned the old one and reused it. Warning: The wiring enters this assembly from the opposite corner from B&N, so consider this if your wiring can’t be moved in your application. Some don’t like the 7 second delay in starting, but I would expect that is designed for the longevity of the motor, so I can used to that, especially for how much quieter it is to any B&N unit. So far, so good. Time will test it’s longevity.

This fan really saved me so I wanted to write a review to share my experience. I previously had a 70CFM 6.0 sone fan with a 3" exhaust in the bathroom that would never properly vent the steam from the bathroom. It was also installed so far down in the corner that it was not accessible from the attic. The 1st problem was to get the old fan out with out going in the attic. I used a crowbar to stretch the metal where it was screwed to the wood. Then the old fan came out easy. I had to enlarge the hole since this fan is bigger. Then it easily mounts with 3 screws. The only problem left was reducing the 4" duct to fit my 3". I know it is best to change whole vent hose to 4" but again that was not an option since it is in such a small area in the attic. Some people have had trouble finding an adapter to fit but I found one...https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JVG4J85/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1It fit right in the fan duct and still allows the damper to operate...then I could use foil tape to secure it. Perfect Install!!!! It is not completely silent but it is way quieter then my old 6 sone fan. It provides just enough background ambient fan noise. This is a life saver for anybody that cant get in the attic but wants to upgrade their ventilation.
