Your cart is empty.TGY is Summit's all-time favorite oolong. Inexpensive and especially good cold steeped, a pitcher of TGY will find its way into your fridge as it has in ours. Lightly oxidized and nutty, roasted dark brown in appearance, this oolong steeps a beautiful light yellow - green color and is suitable for 3x steepings. Don't treat it like teabag tea and throw it out after the first steeping because the next two steepings are the best. Cheers!

This oolong is seriously hitting the spot. The flavor is so good, I could drink this all day. It's got such a smooth, satisfying taste. I'm definitely going to buy more of this. Highly recommend!

I love good oolong tea, but I've had difficulty finding one I really like. I've had oolongs in the past that tasted like dirt, including one I bought in Singapore, so I was reluctant to order the Tie Guan Yin variety. I decided to try it, and am extremely happy with this brand. This oolong is exceptional. The scent was appealing as soon as I opened the bag, rather like fruit, flowers, and rich forest growth rather than mud. I dropped a large pinch of leaves into a glass of hot water, and the smell that wafted up became intriguing with subtle fruit and a hint of something that resembled chocolate. The color is a gorgeous deep bronze. The taste is rich, not assertive or bitter, and the hint of almost-chocolate teases on the back taste. This tea is flavored like a good wine, elegantly layered. It takes a minimal amount of leaves to make a good cup or glass, and they can be reused. I've been happily drinking this tea since it arrived yesterday afternoon: I have a new favorite oolong!

I was hopeful that I had found a reliable and cheap tea that would taste half way decent, but I was wrong. When the package arrived I noticed right away that the tea leaves were loosely and sloppily balled, not a good sign. Also there was A LOT of loose ground up leaf particles in the bag, again, not a good sign. Good quality tea leaves should be tightly rolled with little to no shedding. Upon tasting it, I found that there was an off putting egg flavor that lingered in my mouth. I tried brewing it a couple more times figuring that it might be my imagination, but every time I was greeted with a bad aftertaste.I strongly recommend that you spend a little more money on high quality tea and not waste your money on very low grade tea! I will not be buying this again.

Beautiful tea with a delicate floral taste. The second steep makes for a better, robust flavour. We add a splash of cream or oat milk, for a hearty beverage. One thing to note is that if drunk on an empty stomach, this has caused feeling of nausea for me.

Tie guan yin, or iron goddess of mercy , as we all know, is very expensive to get good stuff. Considering it’s a large bag it is fair tasting . Definitely on the greener side of the spectrum but very light and nice tasting, like orchids. Very nice after taste but a little too light for my personal taste. I preferred some other dealers TGY personally, and I probably wouldn’t order this product again. It was very nice for some cold brews though.

I’ve had some truly excellent TGY teas from China and Taiwan, but they were ten bucks just for a few grams. This is a lot more tea for your buck, and it’s pretty darn decent taigwonyin. It has a little of the roast, a lot of the sharp green, some of the metallic and bright overtones. Not as much of the creaminess and complexity you’ll get from a crazy good TGY but that’s expected. Overall well balanced and enjoyable. I keep a bag at work and never hesitate to brew a cup.

I last purchased this 5 years ago in 2017. I haven't bought another one since. Why?I've been on the hunt for the best TGY tea leaves on Amazon. Sure, there are local tea shops but not everyone can have access to them. I want to know what's best on Amazon! This is what I looked for:- What is the color of the tea?- What is the color of the leaves when soaked?- Are the leaves properly rolled?- When soaked and unfurled, what do the leaves look like? Are they whole?- Are there twigs and stems?- Is the product dusty?- Is the aroma fragrant and appealing?- Is there a hint of sweetness in the after taste?- What is their customer support like? Then I weigh it against how much I'm paying to see if the price point is fair. Between my friends and I, we bought a bunch of different brands to sample. We don't just brew one pot, but incorporate it into our daily routine. For this price point, this is one of the best TGY loose leafs we have found. I don't want to 'over-hype' it so I'll let you try and see for yourself. Everyone has different tastes/expectations. But for me, this was my favorite.
