I like the variety of tools you get to make pasta. I will use the gnocchi board the most from this set. The one thing that would make this set better is a tool to put your dough through and flatten out rather than by hand. Research the type of flour you should be using for your pasta. I learned the hard way that you should use 00 flour if your recipe calls for eggs.

I had never thought of using a potato ricer to make noodles, and it does make them quickly, although with some headache involved. The handles are sharp and dig into the sides of your palm, it's incredibly uncomfortable to use. The ricer isn't a well-made one I've used, the replaceable grate kept coming up and out when lifting up the handle. The presser part kept swinging out of its container while opening as well, which isn't a big issue but any annoyance when learning a new hobby might make you stop trying it early.The multi-ravioli set works really well however, it's effortless to roll a pin over the top to cut them into individual ravioli - Just not with the included rolling pin. I actually used the included pin as kindling for a fire because it gave more benefit that way; It's just small enough to be unwieldy and not comfortable to use. I haven't had a reason to use the ravioli cutter since the metal template works so well.Despite the Gnocchi roller being even worse than the included pin, it is really cool to make Gnocchi so it gets a passing grade just for its novelty. The lasagna cutter makes really gorgeous-looking strips of lasagna due to the wavy shape it creates on the edges.I probably should rate it lower, but it is a fine set to learn about pasta making, and if it's a hobby you want to continue without spending a lot of money. If you do decide to keep making pasta you probably will end up trashing this entire set.
