Front mounted trolling motors on pontoon boats are subject to damage and theft. This plug and socket make it east to remove and store my motor and to move it out of the way when trailering. It was easy to install and is functionally convenient, eliminating tripping hazards and still being convenient for everyday use. Water resistant and sturdy for frequent use, it is a good accessory for my pontoon boat.
