The two large screw knobs are different sizes and are difficult to work with.

Seems to be a good, solid bench. Assembly is fairly easy, as is th height adjustment process. Pleased with this product.

I had a popular X-Leg design piano bench to play my Yamaha MX88 in a small music room with wooden floors. While I liked the relative light weight and comfort of the seat cushion, I prefer this square legged bench for a number of reasons:I like that it’s simply more stable. There’s no slight rocking side to side, nor front to back, from the inevitable “slop” in the single connecting joint where the crossing legs meet.I like that the legs are essentially rectangular tubes with rectangular rubber end covers that fit tightly with no chance of sliding off the way the ones on the other bench’s cylindrical legs did. This allows me to more easily attach felt sliders beneath the legs to provide just enough ease of movement while standing up/sitting down. The sliders contact solidly at all points rather than being wrapped around the cylindrical legs and inevitably coming loose at their ends.I can tweak the height of my keyboard stand but for those who can’t in case the bench’s preset height holes don’t provide satisfactory height, it’s easier and more secure (IMO) to drill custom height holes in the two square legs of this bench than the X-legs of the other design (if you’re handy with tools, that is, or know someone who is).I will say the cushion on this bench is more firm with less soft padding than the other bench, but this is actually a plus for me as I find it helps to steady my body. The soft padding in the other bench almost invites unnecessary movement side to side.Overall I’m very pleased with what I consider an upgrade to my bench and I look forward to many happy hours sitting on it!

This adjustable piano bench is a lifesaver during music practice sessions with my kids. The padded cushion is very comfortable, and the heavy-duty design ensures it stays stable even when the little ones jump on it. Highly recommended for families with budding musicians!
