About this item

  • Compatible with 120V or 220V power input, 15A maximum current, the output voltage is 0-120V when the input is 120V, and the output voltage is 0-220V when the input is 220V.
  • Suitable for excitation motors, power tools and resistive loads, such as fans, hand-held routers, electric kettles, electric stoves, electric soldering irons, etc.;
  • The maximum power of connecting inductive loads (such as fans and routers) is about 1500W, and the limit power of connecting resistive loads (such as electric furnaces, heating wires) is 4000W;
  • Sturdy and durable metal casing, continuously adjustable output voltage, with holes on the back for easy installation and fixation;
  • Warning, not suitable for smart appliances with complex circuit boards.
  • Note, the above mentioned 4000W refer to the maximum power when working under ohmic load. The inductive load is 1/3 of the ohmic load. So it can only be used with devices within 100-2000W.

Specifications:

Input voltage: AC 110-220V, 50/60Hz
Output voltage: 0-110V(110V input), 0-220V(220V input)
Normal current: 9A
Max current: 18A
Fuse: 15A
Maximum output power: 4000W
Material: metal, plastic
Weight: 1.08lb
Dimensions: 4.53*3.74*3.15*in
Notice:

1. Some motors do NOT support voltage regulation (for example, single-phase motors, dual-value capacitor motors, asynchronous motors, pumps, etc. are NOT supported.)
motor-type equipment can only be adjusted:
1): without the capacitor fan
2): power tools: hand drill, angle grinder, electric screwdriver, etc.
2.The input voltage is 0-110V, then the output voltage is 0-110V.
The input voltage is 0-220V, then the output voltage is 0-220V.
So both 110v and 220v can be used as the input voltage, But both cannot work at the same time. And it Input alternating current, the output is also alternating current, not direct current.
3. The measurement of the output voltage in the empty state is a virtual voltage. It must be connected to a load of 100W or more to measure the correct output voltage.
4.The above mentioned 4000 W refer to the maximum power when working under ohmic load. The inductive load is 1/3 of the ohmic load. The ohmic load relates to the tungsten light bulb, the heating wire, etc. The inductive load relates to the series exciter motor. There are electronic products for printed circuit boards that are used with caution.
5. This product is a metal housing and must be securely earthed.

Shop vac can be fully speed controlled from about 20V up to 110V. Even after prolonged use (1 hour or more) the unit does not get hot and the shop vac runs cooler also.

It works!Used it to control speed/thrust of a portable washing machine... for a "gentler" cycle.Only caveat, is the voltage indicator is not accurate (it's by design... they should not have left a reading on there).All in all, dont trust the display, but play it by ear... OR you can stick a voltmeter inbetween for a more accurate reading.

Use to regulate output from a heating pad.The 4000 W rating is only for 220 VAC 18 A with 15 A fuse, the output on a RESTIVE load is 3300 W.Following the NEC 80% rule, the current limit is 15 X 0.80, = 12 A. Thus the ratings should be 2640 W at 220 V and 1320 W at 110 V.The voltage adjustment range is also very limited under load on the output.The input plug is only for 110 V. It is wrong for 220 V.

My pump was way to strong for my little pond, overflowing the waterfall skimmer. With this speed variator I get the right soothing flow and no more overflowing!

Use this to slow down my belt sander, my rotary hand held tool and my angle grinder. So far it has worked like I wanted. The first time I used it on my belt sander it caused the sander to get very hot. I watch my time and voltage in order not to over heat the motor. I'm happy with it so far. Purchased 4/20/23. 19 months later. This is still working, has not caused any problems. I still used it for my belt sander and other tools. I use it on a weekly basis. Looking to buy another larger belt sander and checked to see if it could handle the amps, looks like it's a go, specs are to 15 amps. Just do not over tax it, watch the voltage and time used. Yes, if you are looking for a way to slow the speed of your equipment. I say go for it and use it with respect to it's limitations.
